Just got back from a toystore. While i was there I saw a prime/green tank mode megatron 2 pack. The series was Robots in Disguise. Is the prime that comes in that 2pack the same sculpt as the classics deluxe voyager version?

The Prime/Megatron 2pk is an original mold. No reference to RiD whatsoever. And Classics Voyager Prime >>>>>>>>>Prime 2 pack. No comparison.

This toy store, was it in the US?
If it's a 2-pack with a Green tank Megatron, it is the Classics Deluxe Optimus Prime and this is an original mold.

He went to a KayBee.
KayBee's got the Ultimate Battle 2-packs repackaged as Universe 2packs without the DVD. They're completely identical to the original Deluxe Classics versions. That said, he's nothing like (and nothing compared to) the Classics Voyager version, which is better in just about every possible respect.
The series was not Robots In Disguise, but the box probably says it somewhere on there, since that is (and always has been) the tagline for the entire series.

It's not just KayBee's. I've seen those packs at Fred Meyers and TRU.

I've never heard of that first one and there are no TRUs around here, so I've only seen them at the KayBees.
Good to know, I suppose.

I think these have shown up in "Dollar Stores" as well (Dollar General, etc.) I bought one for my son around Christmas time last year, but I don't remember if it was in Universe or Classics packaging. It didn't come with the DVD.

I for one admit I still like 2-Pack Prime. Admittedly, I've added accents and increased poseability by cutting away some material, but now, I really do like the toy.

Yeah I saw them at Kaybee's outlet store here in Branson MO. They have like 10 of those 2packs. I was tempted to buy it but wasnt sure if that prime is the same as the individual classics deluxe prime. I feel like Im getting mixed responses here. So both primes are from the same mold? No difference b/ the 2? Because I was seeking the voyager prime because of the specificity, and being consistent with the classics deluxe series.

Update:
Okay I see the difference and they are different molds. Im thinking about getting the 2pack anyway. I read that they fit into the classics series with no problem.

Dude, if you're buying a Deluxe-sized, G1-looking Prime in the United States and its a different mold from the picture I posted above, I'd like to see pictures of it, please.

Well it could be bendy Prime from A/C. He does look G1-ish to the untrained eye.

Fred Meyer is owned by Krogers and is mostly in the Northwest (Oregon, Washington & Idaho). They're kinda like a Walmart, but way better. And they have a full service grocery store.

I wish they would come this way, towards the east coast; between Mall-Wart and Target' (pronounced TAHR-JHAY

) there's abosolutely NOTHING worthwhile in CT. The two chains drove out all the others.
