Earlier this year, the FCC threatened sanctions against cable operator Comcast for what was deemed illegal web management. In the past, Comcast had delayed or blocked web content to users engaged in file sharing. Now, Comcast has tested a new system in 5 market areas and stated they less than 1% of their customer base has complained. The new web management scheme slows down maximum speeds for heavy users when the internet system reaches capacity. If there is plenty of capacity, speeds will be normal.

It's about time for me to bail on Comcast.
Lord Madhammer
Yeah this was a factor in us signing up with AT&T.

I've had nothing but problems with comcast. I may just go to AT&T next.

Same here, might be jumping to AT&T soon, I think they still have the 2 months free deal going on or something like that.

I have AT&T, it's been good for the most part. When their servers go out, it's an all day event. That's about all the bad I can say. Their new U-Verse package has speeds up to 12MBPS too for all you cable lovers tounge1.gif

One thing I've noticed with AT&T is that file sharing on our home network is.... um, impossible (unless I'm doing it wrong).
DarkNarcoleptic
Actually, I've had nothing but problems with AT&T in the past. But Comcast's Big Brotherness might make me switch to Knowlogy, our other cable provider here.

I've been thinking lately about doing a Qwest bundle package deal. Now may be the time.
