The new Large Hadron Collider, while working well at it's startup, has had 2 glitches since firing up over a week ago. On September 11, a 30 ton electrical transformer malfunction. Now, a helium tank has leaked. Both caused the collider to operate above it's nominal temperature of 2 to 4.5 Kelvin (-456.1 to -451.6F/-271 to -269C), which prompted the shutdown.

Hmmm.... Thernal Dynamics would like to have a word with you....

also, if anyone wants to check out what's going on over there, here's the webcam for the Lab

I see the problem. Cadogen misread "Bellow 2 Kelvin" as "2 bellow zero Kelvin"

Still damn chilly... and definitely causes shrinkage eektf.gif

2 Kelvin would cause shatterage.
Bestimus Mucho
yeah, but -2 Kelvin would cause impossible

Something just occurred to me: it's called the "Large Hadron Collider", but is it a collider of large hadrons or a large collider of hadrons?

See the difference there? See how I'm always thinkin' 'bout stuff and stuff?

It's the hand of God, preventing us from accidentally unmaking his creation with the technology he made us smart enough to create.
