Chrysler is set to announce more layoffs due to lagging sales. 2000 employees are currently on temporary lay off. In a new move, Chrysler is offering a package that will help those affected by layoffs retrain while having health benefits and pay. This offer is only valid for those living in Michigan, which is being battered with record unemployment.

The irony? The announcement was made during the unveiling of the 2009 Dodge Ram. Dodge's lastest Ram truck has been fully redesigned, but sales for heavy trucks has been reduced by almost half.

It's about time they redesigned something. The Pt Cruiser has had the same bodystyle since it was introduced in 2000

2000? I could swear it was older then that.

any ways yeah they really need to focus on cars people actually want dare I say a small pick up might be the way forward

as for the 09 ram from what I've seen its not that different and if they hadn't told me it was "all new" I would swear it was just a face lift with new power train options
