Just wondering if anyone else watched this...especially if you are an X-Files, Alias and/or Lost fan...

I watched it, and am undecided. I liked the way it was structured, and it looks to provide some interesting possibilities for future episodes (it's been said there's an overarching mythology and even from one episode I can kind of see that). I felt though they were trying to work in too much action and not enough mystery. It kind of had the same "dumbed-down" at times that the TF movie had at times (no surprise, since the writers are the same).
One thing I loved, though, was the giant CGI block-letters used for the datelines that were hovering in midair that moved with the camera angle as well as casting shadows and stuff. That was really creative.

I wanted to watch it, but it was two hours long and on at the same time as
Eureka.

It did seem to drag, but I think moving to the hour format will help. I think the casting is pretty good, from that one episode at least. I just worry that the overriding story arc will be awesome in the first season or two, with a conclusion at in season 2, and the next arc won't be as compelling. That happened in Alias, and hopefully it won't happen here.

wasn't really impressed...no real tension after the airplane in the beginning. Now THAT part freaked the hell out of me...but the rest...meh...we shall see how it goes.
