David Gilmour, once lead guitarist and occasional vocalist for prog-rock group Pink Floyd, has confirmed that there are no future plans for him to tour with his old group. Hopes arised after he reunited with Pink Floyd frontman and bassist Roger Waters during the Live 8 charity concert in 2005. However, Gilmour commented that the terse rehearsals reminded him of why he couldn't do it on a regular basis.

Gilmour has a new live album due later this month which features tracks from his last solo album, 2006's "On An Island", as well as several Pink Floyd tracks. There is also a 25min version of "Echoes", a song from 1971's Echoes album. Richard Wright, the keyboardist from Pink Floyd, appears on the live album.

*will be purchasing* though I would have been happy with a CD of his Albert Hall concert

No surprise to me either. People have been clamoring for it, but Waters and Gilmour just don't work well together. Gilmour's debut solo album from 1978 = g1-OptimusPrimeAniLevelup.gif. Water's solo album, by contrast = slytf.gif

Amused to Death is a kickass album FYI.

I also really like Pros & Cons of Hitchhiking on a musical level...

Radio KAOS is pretty much sh*t
