And the faces are some of the most complex parts of those models. The Transformers will look 98% the same as they did last movie. Learn to live with it.

You really think so?

I guess I just don't see Michael Bay being okay with NOT upgrading his cars...

just keep an eye out for Prime doing side wheelies in tunnels, I guess.

Michael Bay's a thrifty man when for a guy who spends hundreds of millions of dollars making blockbuster popcorn movies.

(No, read it again. I meant what I said there. It's less ironic than it sounds.)

We already know Bumblebee will look a little different because of the differences between the Concept Camaro to the production model, but those changes will probably only barely manifest themselves in robot mode (another reason to break the robot modes up into pieces).

For the other returning Autobots, we've seen their vehicle modes all on set already, with no visible changes present. Which isn't to say there won't be any "upgrade" scenes or anything, but there's new robots to introduce, and I think Bay realizes every penny spent refurbishing old CGI models is another penny that can't be spent on the new ones.

Reusing the CGI models is just smart and is going to allow Bay to spend his bigger budget on more robots, more explosions, more car chases, and just more everything. So I expect there to be little to no changes in the returning cast of robots.
