I don't really have too much time to do any scratchbuilds these days. But I felt inspired to do this easy kitbash. Its a Laserbeak transforming handgrenade. Its inspired by the Dreamwave Transformers and GI Joe crossover set in World war II. In the comic all the old cassettes transformed into hand grenades.I would appreciate any comments, I am not sure what color to paint him. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

I always thought the WWII "cassettes" would be pretty easy customs to do, but I wasn't sure where to get plastic grenades from.

Sure, I'll make a tutorial on how to make him. Once I get done with him I'll get some pics and make up something. First things first get your hands on a Real Gear Nightbeat I used that figure for most of the base, I used a small 5.00 kit of Neo Shifters for some hinges, and a airsoft handgrenade I found on Ebay.

Thanks a lot man, I actually have a Booster X10 lying around, although I love him, he'll be pure win with this. Can I get the exact name of the Neo Shifters kit you used? I could probably get everything through eBay this way. Though I might just run to the store for it. I look forward to the painted pics

for plastic grenades look for Airsoft bb holder/bottle. (they use those to hold the bbs/ammo for airsoft guns) they are cheap. you can even get the "pineapple' style.

I like it but you need to paint the bird part. I would liked to have seen the grenade shell open up like feathers or something. Fan out to be wings but that would be difficult.

It brings a whole new dimension to the term "Blow Me", doesnt it readers?
