honestly they're the best ones... season 1 is a lot of "hmm let's figure out what this show is about" and it's pretty unfocused. JMO of course
There are still a few gems in there.
My bigger complaint with BW is I don't think the Vok storyline went where they originally intended, I think they were setting up for something more intersting but got sidetracked with the whole "Hey, we're now a sequel to G1"-angle.
Yeah, I would agree with that. The Vok storyline is what got me interested in BW as I was first watching it. But then it was all about the Ark and the (other) Golden Disc and the Vok got reduced to some ghey Airrazor/Tigatron thing.
Agreed, I was hoping to see more of them myself, but now that they're done, I hope they stay that way. The Vok where pretty cool plotters and schemers with some real intresting potential. Of course when taken out of the show, they had to try and find a back story and I'm sorry but why not make them something new, I never liked the whole evolved Swam deal. But thats what happens when they start letting to many different TF producers start getting involved, they mess it up.
Even with some of the Beast Wars staff getting involved with Animated, I hope they leave The Vok alone cause I could just see the rehash being the same as what they did to the Quintessons with Alpha-Q. Whats worse is that with something like Animated, they'd be all cutsie instead of cool robot ghost skulls.
But yeah, there are 3 Beast Wars DVDs, one for each season, and both seasons of Beast Machines are in one box, and trust me, after you sit through the war, you'll wanna see the fall out. Watch it all in one shot, and it's a very well told story.
