Great first time review of this one.
I see a lot of good incentive to buy this one.
For one it's mostly red plastic/not a lot of sticky paint, it's a good size, and has some pretty neat features which you IMO did a good job of addressing. The fold down bumper, and weapon storage I think impressed me the most. Articulation looks pretty good and the gattling gun/sword is a neat combo.
Complaints/anoyances. This is one almost too busy looking figure. Almost looks like it may have been a movie proto at one point. The alt mode is nice but has some real oddities. The transformation is pretty inovative but I would have personally sacrificed some of the complexity for a cleaner looking alt mode. The all spark blue windows/face are a real killer for me unfortunately. I understand how the arm transformation works but the side windows look horrible and don't even fill the whole window frame. Also what is the deal with the lose hanging crotch in bot mode. I find it kind of disappointing it doesn't clip in anywhere beneath the main body.
I place this one on a maybe. Depends I guess what I think of Prowl/Sunstreaker when I eventually grab em.
On a side note, saw your Ultra Magnus vid on You Tube. Fantastic job, and I agree a must have figure. Can't wait to find one.
Keep up the good work.

The license plates are a reference to G1 supposedly taking place in Oregon.
As for the figure, I'm still not too sold. (I am, however, sold on the weapon. Is awesome.) I'd rather of taken my chances on translucent pieces in the arm w/tacky paint, than the sloppiness of the "All spark" Blue windows. Though, if Hasbro opted to make the painted windows a darker color, as if they were tinted, I'd probably be rather sold.
Going back to the weapon, I think it's dual nature ties into the possibility of a Ratchet repaint. I could see Ironhide wielding a gattling weapon, while Ratchet would weld a blade.
Hm. Maybe painting the face silver, and making the windows a darker color, it might not be too bad. Looks like I talked myself into buying Ironhide.

That kind of makes me feel like a woman. Wanting to get the bad toy and make it into something better, despite knowing, it'll probably never change....
