Nakashima Taiki
well, here it is. Like the title, I want to know what you think kinda vibe your avatar/name gives off, and what you think of other's avatar/name. you can do more than 1 each! you can talk about Signatures if that is what you wish. And don't say anything too harsh, dammit! grr.gif

As for me, I thing my name says that I like Japan/ese names. My avatar says I'm a fun-loving and will interrupt someone in mid-meditation just for the fun of it, and that I'm obnoxious.

And if someone already made a thread like this I'm gunna kill myself.
Lord Madhammer
I made a thread about this last year.
Lord Madhammer
OKAY FINE

The old timers will know this already, but my name came from an X-Files episode with the Lone Gunmen. The blond dude with glasses who looks like Geddy Lee used "Lord Manhammer" as his D&D handle and I thought that was hilarious. So when it came time to sign up here, that was the name I used, as a way to make fun of people with overly serious/sincere internet usernames. Except I didn't hear the name right and I thought he said "Madhammer". I once tried to rectify this mistake, with hilarious consequences.

My avatar is G2 Comics Megatron because he has a fucking huge chin and sometimes carries a sword, which is also awesome.
trench
name = unhealthy fixation on goatse

avatar = unhealthy fixation on obnoxious plane transformers

My name says that I care more about reading and posting on message boards than I do about my name.

My avatar says that I'm a fan of the Destroyer book series. The avatar itself is of Fred Ward as Remo Williams in the movie based on The Destroyer. The movie is 80% crap but it's the only one there is; hopefully that will change.
Nomolos
my name is my name but backwards. some friends I was in a band with always called each other by names in reverse. they were doing it when I joined up, so I used the name they called me.

my av is a cross of jack from The nightmare before christmas and the skull on Spawns shoulders/belt. because I love cheesy evil.
Nakashima Taiki

Too cheesy? laughlol.gif
Haggisjin
Name - When my sister went to Scotland, she got me a little Scottish guy in a kilt keyring thing (amongst other presents). I named him Haggisman. I then started to use the name when I would PWN everyone on my school network at Quake2 deathmatches. Firstly, as Madhammer said, to make fun of people with overly serious tags (Lord of Destruction is the first one to come to mind). Secondly, because getting slaughtered by a guy called "Haggisman" who was using a player model of Astroboy was just plain embarrassing. It's been my constant name ever since, because I lack originality and I'm lazy. I changed it to Haggisjin when I moved to Japan.

Avatar - I like monkeys. When I first joined, my avatar was Optimal Optimus. I like monkeys.

Sig- It was an article on The Onion that I thought was hilarious.

LOL I guessed it right that was Remo Williams. Check your profile and you'll see I asked you about that some weeks ago.

My Av and name are of the legendary Gargoyle Firebrand, whom made his first appearance in the Ghosts ' N Goblins games. I have a tattoo of him on my shoulder too. Here's a pic of it:

Nakashima Taiki
nice tat laughlol.gif

what's with thew fading?

Firebrandx
The artist took the photo for his archives. He fades out the surrounding areas I guess since they don't matter. Anyway, I've since extended it into a full sleeve, but its not done yet.
JustLOKIPLVY
Chicks, guns and explosions.

And it's anime so why not.

(Had Bucky O Hare and Pilot Jenny as sig and avatar for almost a year)
Prime-Collector
My name is Prime-Collector, cuz... I collect Primes.

Deep eh?

These days I like to go by P-C anyway. More recently, I've been going by the name Ender. Partially from Ender's Game partially as the nick name Dead End goes by on a TF RPG board I play him on.

My avatar is Mike from Short Packed because I did yer' Mom.
Glue
Well I know what my name and avatar signify to me and where they originate from. But since nobody else really know the specific reasons behind either, I can only figure they just associate them with whatever they think of my posts (which I'd guess at being a rather mixed number of various reactions).
Darth Caine
Caine :: Sums up from C&C Nod leader Kane, Biblical Cain, childhood fave WWF Kane, Legacy of Kain, Kwai Chang Caine, Marvel's Kaine (Spiderman's clone) and other similar named figures. Beside, it sounds awesomeji1.gif

Avatar :: ItRocks.gif ItRocks.gif ItRocks.gif ItRocks.gif
siburke939
name: amalgamation of first name (simon) surname (burke) & last 3 of my army no. (_____939)

pic: bought a wii a while back & can't be bothered changing it
slugpitcher
name: derived from the great energon decepticon slugslinger, i didn't want to mark out to badly so instead of slinging the slugs i pitch them.

avatar: what can i say... i'm a huge Mr. Kennedy........Kennedy fan. and have been since his debut.
Father Time
My Avatar is related to my name, and so is my signature, obviously. As for naming myself Father Time: Not only is the name mythologically rather wellknown, but it has a certain gravitas to it, unlike, let's say, Santa Claus, who occupies a very similar archetypical niche. And I really liked the artwork for his appearances within the comic "Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters".
Stormtrooper53
Name: I am an elite Shock Trooper of the Galactic Empire and I graduated 53rd in my class at the Imperial Academy (out of 45 cadets.)*

Avatar: Well, RDD and P-C got in a magazine cover fight with their Vanity Fair and New Yorker magazine cover avatars, so I wanted to follow the magazine cover trend. It is the cover of an issue of Star Wars Insider, the official magazine of the official fan club of Star Wars, officially. Sadly, it hasn't gone beyond the three of us. Typically I go with a Stormtrooper-ish theme because...^^^^^

*This may shock some of you but I am actually lying. Back '94-95 when my parents finally got TEH INTARWEBS (thankfully after I went to college or I would have spent all my time looking at free pr0n) I joined a Star Wars chat room called The Cantina. I didn't want to choose a username so ambitious as Darth Vader Fan #1 or something so I decided to go with "Stormtrooper," just a random anonymous person. Apparently I was not the first person to think of this, though, because that username was already in use. So I just tacked my football jersey number on the end of it and viola
Jerrod
Jerrod is my name. And the avatar is a picture of Gallagher from the cover of a Gallagher souvenir magazine that features pictures of me in it.

Asthaloth
Asthaloth is a name I've used for a while now, and it's origins are mysterious and shrouded in the depths of time...
Okay, it sounded cool and a Google Search gave nothing at the time, although heretics have since stolen it huffermad.gif rumblecry.gif

The Avatar is my personal mark, and once again shrouded in time / It looked cool.
Even if I do get accused of being a Nazi occasionally. (Seriously, does that look like a Swastika to you?!)

Edit: Oh, the member title is a "If I were a D&D Character, what would I be" Type of deal, and the Sig just makes me raff whenever I see it.

OMG SECRET NAZI!

The Diesel
Diesel is my nickname. It has been my nickname for years. No it is not from Vin Diesel. I had it way before he ever became popular. Diesel was taken when I changed it here so I said put 'The' in front of it.

If I'm not mistaken, some of the older dudes here can back me up, I had a major hand in bringing Kremzeek back from obscurity. I watched that episode back in 2003 and remember how retarded it was. I started a thread about it here back in 2004 and the rest is history.

Kremzeek and I have a lot in common. We are both obnoxious and loud, and both of us don't take any sh*t from anyone.
Agent Zero
I had used Icecap79, which was a combination of my hockey jersey number and the brand of goalie pads I wear.
I decided to go with something else though, something that sounded "messageboard-y" without actually being
"messageboard-y." So I used "Agent Zero," the name of a fake spy movie mentioned in Seinfeld.

My avatar is a fake "All Hail Starscream" comic book cover. Not sure where I found it though. Google I think. Anyway I used it because it looks cool and I'm a 'Screamer fanboy.

My sig is a parody/homage/ripoff of the "I Believe in Harvey Dent" campaign posters used to promote The Dark Knight. I used Michael Bay 'cause I loved his TF movie and I'm bracing myself for the return of the haterz with TF2 in production.

optimuslaugh2.gif It's true. Especially with floor tiles. The ones are rectangular instead of squared? And arranged in an angle? Depending on the day I can look at those tiles and see nothing but swastikas in the crevices guh copy.gif
G.A.S.H.
I dunno, I'm a wat?, I hate myself whatever...

The avatar is just a portrayal of a character I like done in a manner I like.

And the sig is the point of nobody liking me, a cartoon character like or what I get it off to. Your choice...

Yes, I'm in a raincloudyi7.gif slump at the moment... And yes, I know, none of you are interested in that...
Bestimus Mucho
The Name was a contest winner. This past december the powers that be gave everyone a free name change, so I polled INH and had the stipulation that the name have the innitials NLTAG, this is the one I liked. Originally my name was No Less Than A God, which like Lord Madhammer is a tongue in cheek over the top kind of super villiany thing. When I decided to change it people were just refering to me as NLTAG because the name is so long, so I decided to keep the innitials and just make a non-sense name with it, so it because Now Look! That Alien Guy!

My Avatar is a gif someone posted in a fark thread. I liked it because it referenced one of my favorite Transformers, and the song Baby Got Back.

My Sig is Bumblebee getting beat up by Spark Plug which is awesome.
Buddykiller
avatar and sig are no brainers. i like metal. the av i got from Tripredicus. the sig goes a little deeper than just liking metal. "attera totus sanctus" means (or is supposed to mean, should have been totum sanctum) "destroy all the holy". i rather dislike most religious people.

the name harkens back to the days when quake death matches where THE thing and heat.net just came around. couldn't think of a name, asked a quake buddy of mine. the way i played quake was talked people into teaming up against the highest ranking players, then fragged 'em.

yea, i know, it's gay as farg, but for some reason it just stuck so thats what i use everywhere.
Lord Madhammer
laughlol.gif you'd think that people would catch on to the name eventually
Buddykiller
well i'm sure i was probably playing with a bunch of 11 - 14 year olds, and as we all know, that age tends to kill our common sense.

i can't even remember what name i used prior to this one.
ReverendNash
What, they're supposed to mean something?

Really though, my name is Nash, and I'm a (non-practicing) minister (of non-denominational faith).

The av, it was a funny "Happy Hump-Day Card" someone sent me, I thought it was funny.

Sig, well, it's my G1 Megatron collection.

What do you think?
Glue
Ohh okay, fine.

This is a nickname from a close friend of mine originating from when I'd set up my irc client to beep and highlight any line beginning with my initials and she had just bought a bottle of glue and thought it would be funny to use it as an action on everyone in the chatroom.

HoS Insecticons are customs I've been dreaming of making in my copious amounts of nonexistent spare time devoted to the activity, starting with Bombshell.
Stormtrooper53
HoS?
Bestimus Mucho
Heart of Steel
ReverendNash
Hearts Of Steel
Stormtrooper53
Insecticons were in that?

*plans to read, now*

The paperback has a couple of concept sketches, like Prowl's and a second alt mode Megatron, that didn't make it into the issues themselves. I recommend.
