Today looking for pics of the Henkei! chrome for Sunstreaker and 'Streak', i ran into a new PVC line (it looks like) of Generation one characters. I do not know if they are posable but they look fantastic!

Odd, some transform, some don't...

...and the proportions on the non-transfomers are weirdly lanky for some reason.

It appears there is Megatron, Soundwave, OPtimus Prime, Wheeljack, Starscream, Ironhide, Astrotrain, Jazz & Bumblebee. Also it looks to have a gold Optimus Prime of a different sculpt maybe and also another some minicons. Im not sure what these are if exclusives or promotions so if anyone can translate please be my guest.

Those are pretty poor looking. The old HoC PVCs from years ago did the same thing but looked nicer. Odd that there's 2 random members of the Giant Planet Minicon set in there though. Also amusing is the fact the crane guy's near identical to Astro-Hook from Timelines. Between TC, Henki Wildrider (Shattered Rodimus) and now this guy, at this point they have to be doing it on purpose.

These have got to be part of some sort of promotion with another product. They look too crappy to stand alone toys.

They are, you get them with a can of coffee.

Which sounds like a real bargain all around.

These are cool in a "should have been included in a cereal box back in the 80's" kind of way.

I'd love to find a Megatron in a can of Hills Bros. coffee. Hasbro should do a promotion with these next year to tie in with TF2.

Heh, I thought you just looked at the bottom corner of the picture linked in the first post, saw the coffee and put 1 + 1 together - which was much funnier to me.

As a caravan inexplicably passed through my suburb I foolishly hummed a few bars from "Babes in Toyland" The old bag jumped right off the cart an knocked me down. I came to at Toys 'R Us check out lane with Both the Running and Standard Beast Machines Optimus Primal, a job application, and A money order for $275 posted to somebody for a "Metal Force Convoy".

My torment will never end...

I don't see how this is any different from those teeny Kabaya figures that came out a while back. I also thought those were cooler (rigor mortis poses FTL, though I suppose they are GeeWun Akerut).

Yes, us poor shlubs in North America will be without these crappy PVC figures and the crappy coffee they come with

As a ginormous Soundwave fan, I have no desire for any of those PVCs, Soundwave included.

That said, I want the Submarine Minicon. It's so... G2. If any Japanese fans get ahold of one of those Sub minicons and doesn't want him... let me know. Please?

I read Japanese, and you are correct. I might pick up a few of these from time to time and make it look like I was considerate and got my wife a can of coffee on the way home from work.

My favorite has always been Alien action figures. Alien - what a great kid's movie!

I actually had a discussion with some people about this - at first I was of the mindset that TDK was absolutely not for anyone under the age of about thirteen, but then someone made the point that what's disturbing about the Joker is really only disturbing to adults, and that most would go right over a kid's head, who would just see the Joker as a "bad guy" doing the more overt "bad guy things." With that in mind, I think that if you have a kid who you think could handle the obvious violence, then it probably would be OK to take them.

According to an article I saw in Dengeki Hobby today, these things look like they're being released as sort of a cross promotion for the reissue of Encore Metroplex, so you can have a bunch of little Autobots to run around your city bot.



Which makes me want to have them a lot more (or to get all of the WSTF instead....)

FYI I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with this... no way would I take my kid to see that movie.

So anyway, tiny crappy PVC guys...

Haggis, you could just as easily get a bunch of Robot Heroes to put around Metroplex and he'd look a lot cooler that way IMO.

IF I end up getting the Metroplex reissue, I think I'll get all of the WSTF (plus the non-official ones like the Dinobots) to decorate him.
