Cadogen
Eclipses normally come in pairs. Saturday will be no exception. Residents of Africa, Asia and Europe will be able to glimpse a partial eclipse on Saturday August 16th, with up to 80% of the moon blocked by the Earth's shadow at approximately 9:11pm Greenwich Standard Time. The show will begin at 7:46pm GST and last through 10:44pm GST. After this, set your calendar for 12/21/2010, when the next total lunar eclipse is expected

Only time I saw a partial solar eclipse was when I was in 2nd grade, around 1982. It was mid-morning sometime.

I remember one around 1979-80 and again in 1991, but not that one.
