This is the highly anticipated Transformers Collector Club Seacons we all (i know i am) are waiting for in package and a good look of the box art, inside the box & how they are placed, and the bots them selves.
TCC SeaconsEnjoy!
Also if ANYONE knows anything about WHEN or WHAT you have to do now to get these i.e. pre-order, PM me or post. thanks

Colors could be better, but i may just have to grab one of these, if it can be done at a reasonable price of course.

I call it as such:
$240 for members
$270 for non-members
In either case, my wallet can't handle that.

For that price I'd just as soon buy a vintage set....

you know what... I think they hit the nail on the head this time nice toys and a very nice box
now for the price for 240-270 I would rather get original toys. But thinking about it haven't quite a few just been sitting in some ware house as unwanted exclusives? so how much could they ask for just a snazy box and maybe a short 2nd run to increase numbers?... but then this is the TFCC...

At first glance, I thought it was a shot at a set of KO's.
It's a shame we have KO sets for $10 on average, and this set, that I must say was one of the bit TF surprizes for me, being I had no idea they existed, and when gathering monster bots thinking it was a terrorcon and finding out it wasn't...whao there's another set of them out there???
It's great they get to remake some cool items and it's a limited basis, kinda like botcon #2 each year, but $$$ add up.
Figure they were selling the new combiner repaints at what $35 - $50 or so each, That would make these about $40 a piece. ($250/6 is $41)
How much did I pay for my Botcon Stunticon???
I have to pass, but the collector who must have everything might not be able to pass this up.

And that's where they're aiming at IMO. The $240-$270 price range is just a guess on my part, so don't take that as official

Huh? Where did you get that number? The TFCC site says $119 plus shipping. Although I guess if you're not a member then it's another $40 to join.

as a kid i only had snaptrap, the turtle and torso, but i always wanted the complete gestalt. as ugly as the hotpink and aqua blue are, the yellows and oranges aren't an improvement. if they made this in decent or more unified colors this could be a general release or at least a target exclusive. how many different briticuses (or is it brutici for plural) were released around RID?

Three version of Ruination were released in the US. Japan's Valdigus was slightly different than any of our Ruinations.
That said, at least Ruination had some AWESOME retooling... the combining weapons was something that I thought should've been in place since G1, and was done pretty well.
Anyway, the Seacons are kinda cool, and I can see how this would never get a mass-market release and all but... yeah, they're still kinda ugly redecoes of very non-impressive G1 toys. And $20 a pop for them is considerably more than I'd be willing to pay (especially compared to, say, Classics Soundwave which was $30 for one of the best G1 figures as well as his two cassettes, or hell, any decent Voyager).
But I can see some people getting this. Good for them.

Yeeeeaaah, not real impressed (great box art though). When it was set to be a Wal-mart exclusive during Universe 1.0 years ago, I'd have probably bought it, at store prices. For $120+? No thanks. Awful colors that aren't consistant across the board (why is it so hard to use a unified paint scheme on a combiner? It makes a world of difference. Predaking, Devestator...), and it's a pass.

240 bucks? 240 fricking bucks? You've got to be shotting me? 240 bucks for one set, someone please tell me thats wrong!
*Goes and paints one of his turds*
Someone want to give me 240 bucks for this masterpiece?
Joking aside, that is darn expensive, I do hope it is wrong or I'll only be getting one set of these if any at all.

The original costs more than $120, so I don't see what the problem is here. My combiner collecting policy is to not pay any more than $20 per limb. This Seacons set meets that requirement and surpasses it since it also includes the Seacons leader, which would cost more than the smaller components.

If you want a better Seacon Set, try this:
1/ Original Seacons: -
http://www.thepimpsled.com/Project/Piranac...snaptrap047.jpgOR
2/ Beast Wars Pirate Seacons (minus one character and some weapons,BUT still sexy): -
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d0/Godneptune.jpg3/ Then all you have to do is add these stickers from reprolabels:
-
http://reprolabels.com/Misc/godneptune.aspThere! Sexier than the terrible hodge-podge Collectors' Club Edition, eh readers?

Black and Grey, why can't they make one primarily in black and grey?!
MikePrime

Black and gray? That might be okay for a shark, but you can't have a whole Seacons set that has black and gray as the dominant colors.

it would be so sweet, especially in Gestalt mode. Maybe just red eyes.

Don't forget all the little parts too.
But yeah, what did happen to the $119 price point anyway?

I'll just wait for the Encore reissue is the original colours... these colours make it look like a KO... a monochrome/black & grey repaint would have been better imo too... but for me, the best colours are definitely the God Neptune version.

Nothing happened to it, that's still the price. The price given in the article is 100% imaginary:

Still set at $119 though I'm not sure if they've clarified yet if that's the members price or the everyone price.

I checked the site and dindt notice any mention of a price change after 5/23/08 So yeah, I guess it is still $119
http://www.transformersclub.com/Also after years of delaying it, I joined the club. I'm sorry but I don't like the idea of paying for membership. With the amount of money the average collector drops in retail and online, I think it would be more fair and get more members if they had something like in package vouchers that you would use to clear your membership.
