Full Version: Is Chupacabra Real?
TFormers Community > Non-Transformers > General Discussion
Cadogen
The creature known as the Chupacabra is mostly regarded as an urban legend. Although forms vary, it is mostly known as having the body of a dog with the head resembling a donkey. The standing of this legend is that it kills then drinks the blood of livestock, mostly goats. A sheriff's deputy in southern Texas captured footage of such a creature with his police camera recently, renewing the buzz that the chupacabra is in fact real. The image towards the end of the footage will be the deciding factor.

See the footage, then decide for yourself

"It might look like a dog, but look again, its snout is longer and its front legs are short."

So, the conclusion is, of course, "creature of legend" and not "deformed dog" or "newly discovered kind of dog."

Makes perfect sense.

Not saying it IS Chupacabra, but if that really is a dog that one hell of an ugly dog. Almost looks like some kind of imbred between a Pit Bull and a coyote.

Or... The legend could be based on this newly discovered species, maybe.

A quick check of the internet showed that the dead creature briefly featured in the first part of the video was shown to be a coyote with severe mange via DNA testing, so I wouldn't hold my breath on the animal in the video being a new species.

what is severe "mange"?

From Wikipedia:

Mange is a parasitic infestation of the skin of animals. Common symptoms include hair loss, itching and inflammation, all of which are caused by microscopic mites. Mange is most commonly found in dogs and other canines, but it can occur in other domestic and wild animals, such as turtles, causing them to lose their shells.

True, but it's still sarcasticpelicanlb2.gif to insult someone's intelligence based on where they live.
