Bet you would not have expected this, but an exhibit by TakaraTomy shows off Transformers, uh, transformed into an art form. The gallery shows off various lines, past and present, of the Transformers done in interesting and creative ways. It's nice to see that Scrapper has been keeping himself busy.

Funny, I always thought of action figures as movable statues. Glad to see the designes be credited as more than just toys.

Thank GOD I didn't go to that! It cost 20 DOLLARS to enter what was basically a space the size of a small living room in Tokyo. The place was so small, we walked past it once. Basically all that exhibition is are some screen grabs from the TV show blown up to huge size, some sculptures made with stuck on TF parts and some guy/girl's TF collection...and we would have had to pay 20 DOLLARS!

Even my Japanese TF otaku chums told me it might not be a good idea to go (it was meant to close at 9pm, so our Japanese chum told us, but it was closed before 5pm!).

You are all lucky you didn't go, believe me.

Maybe I'm being too naive, but...I think probably over half of us on this board could put a better TF Art exhibit together! Artistically, I'm not that impressed with this one...
