i dont know what they were thinking with this mold. it looks awefull in both mode. talk about the worst figure ever for a character who deserves a decent figure. i liked his g1 look (cartoon / comic, not toy) and they need to try and capture that, and it shouldnt be so hard, he was relitivly simple in design. why do they over complicate things.

I, on the other hand, am totally psyched about this one. It's the first Ironhide that has a real body and decent head sculpt (even though I still love the original Diaclone driver style). I think it's one of the best Universe Classics / Henkei molds, next to Streaker and Swipe - it's proportional, and is a fresh take on the G1 and TV show feel.

I'll probably do a few paint touchups on him, like I did to my Sunstreaker.

Sounds like they swapped his bio for Kup's.

Looks like a neat toy, though. Too bad they picked an altmode that, while fitting for Ironhide himself, is completely inappropriate for the character's most common repaint.

well, kup pretty much was a swap for ironhide in G1 anyways.

I think in person this mold will suffice, i think the pictures just make him look wierd (transformation?) but i guess we'll find out in due time.
