For almost as long as people have been surfing the net, we have accessed private accounts by the use of passwords. However, even with the most random and secure string of passwords, accounts still run the risk of being hacked. So how do we combat this? Information card technology and Open ID are 2 systems that may be in our future. What's the pro and con of each?

As far as I'm concerned, no information will ever be "secure," especially the information stored in computers. Different methods of security, including biometrics and the stuff they're talking about here do make it a hell of a lot HARDER for someone to access your stuff, but they don't guarantee complete security.
