"You know about the SOTA line. You know all about the High Dream, Capcom Vs SNK 2 line. And now we have Jazwares' Mass Market Street Fighter line...
OK, so if these look mighty similar to SOTA's figures, theres a reason.... they share the same sculpt. The difference is that these are the Mass Produced versions... the one's you're gonna find in KB. SOTA's ones are the collector's grade." - Full store
here.
I have to say I really don’t know what to think about these figures, I mean these figures kind of seem like Knock offs to me. To add insult to injury these figures they also look cheap….I mean Jazwares couldn’t have made these bad boys any cheaper looking if they tried. For me I wont even waste any more time thinking about them once I’m done typing this post.

"Some are worried that this means that when a SOTA version is released it would just be a new head on a Ryu body. Jerry has said that a SOTA Akuma would be different." -
Action--figure.comSo I would say the answer to your question is yes.

meh, if they're cheap I'll probably get 'em,but if they're not much less than the SOTA versions, I'll just get the SOTA's.

i just picked these up at Kb Toys, they have very limited articulation, its like they tried to mimic some of the articulation but left other parts out, no articulation at the wrists, limited articulation at the shoulders and ankles, the "ball joints" at the hips are very limited too, oddly enough, they DO have articulation in the one spot the SOTA figures dont: their ankles turn, the only good part about the figures, is that they are pretty muc the same size as the SOTA figures, so if you cant wait on sota (lord knows we have waited long enough already) or you want to get Akuma just in case sota doesnt make one, they still have some uses

ive yet to see any of these figures anywhere except for a listing on ebay that i cant seem to find any more, but to answer your question, here is a prototype of the Iori figure
Iori protoon a side note, the ken and ryu figures that ive seen for this line are ugly as hell, but seem to be blessed with a bit more articulation than even the SOTA figures have
