...because probably no one cares.
So it was, umm, X-Files-ish. I'm not sure this is the direction it should have gone since the series ended with "the big payoff" alien invasion thingy, and they don't talk about that at all in this movie. "Oh, hey, the Earth's going to be invaded in 2012, but that part of my life is over and done with, Mulder." It's a shame because these kinds of episodes (the Monster of the Week ones) were the best episodes IMO. I want an X-Files movie to scare the hell out of me, this one didn't.
It was nice to see Mulder and Scully again, though. and Skinner, too.

I still care for the X-Files, and I liked the movie. It wasn't great or anything, but I still enjoyed it.

A movie on the lone-gunmen would have been better than this movie was. Like I said in the other thread, this movie was basically just an average and forgettable episode stretched to 90 minutes.

This lasted about a week before it was pulled.
Six years ago I could have seen this being quite a success but now it's just uneccessary and fan wank.
Glad those who saw it enjoyed it some.

I enjoyed myself and completely marked out (wrestling lingo) when
Skinner showed up. I would have enjoyed some sort of closure concerning the alien mythos, but it was good for what it was (a monster of the week style of story).
So yeah, I was entertained as an X-Files fan, but if you weren't into the show then I can see how the movie wouldn't appeal to you.
Still buying the DVD and watching it at least twice more though

That, and as interesting as they were, they can't carry a feature length film. They couldn't even carry a tv show. JMO of course.

A: I know they are dead (part of the joke).
