1. I'll get alt mode pics tomorrow.

2. He's not fully done yet. I was lead to believe that the reprolabels sheet contained "Highway Patrol" stickers for the doors.... it doesn't icon_sad.gif and as such I'm waiting on a respone from reprolabels.

Otherwise.... he's finished and I'm very happy with him!
Ironhide.
That indeed does look awesome.Great job on the customizing

Its a shame that we have to take something that Hasbro makes , paint it ourselves, put stickers on it, just to make it a great figure.

I really wish Hasbro would shell out the few extra cents it takes to add a few extra paint apps.

I think he looks great!

Great job, man! smiletf.gif

p.s... I have an extra Prowl - I could pop off the side car panels if you would like a new set of doors that still have "Highway Patrol" on them...

You know, The Henkeii version doesn't have any different or additional paint apps from the Hasbro version.... other than the stupid chrome of course. But I'm slighly inclined to agree with you. Could be worse though, at least we're not PR fans. Bandai USA really cuts back on thier figs!

That's really cool of you but then I'd just end up repainting them too. The whole reason I did this repaint was because of the tacky paint issue and I have a feeling (with the humidity in this state) that I'd still have the same issue. Plus, I used a gloss white and gloss black on this guy. I repainted almost everything that had paint on it. When all is said and done, I can live without the Highway Patrol. It's not terribly important. And as a last ditch effort I can always order another set of labels and use the ones that were meant for the rear wing on the doors.

Like I said, I'll see what they say first. smiletf.gif Thanks for the comments guys.

Prowl is looking good, HS. thumbsup1.gif Did you pant the interior of the door? With the questions out of the way, I must say the silver rims look great, as does the Barricade lightbar. I thought I'd could get used to the swooped back lightbar, but the straight one is so much more fitting.

I must also apologize for the confusion. I feel bad that any of my advice/attempt at helping out may of fubar'd your project. I hope Reprolabels can clear up any confusion I may of caused. sweatbead.gif Sorry again, HS.

Hellscream333
I did not paint the interior of the door. Really, there's no need to because once you throw on one or two more coats of white/black you can nolonger see through it. It just looks the color of what you painted on the other side.

Totally not your fault man. I actually blame Reprolabels and myself. Usually they provide scans of the sticker sheet which shows you exactly what comes on it. In this one case that wasn't there. I made the choice to paint over it without first ordering the labels so really it's my mistake for making the assumption. No worries though. It'll all work out!

DOUBLE POST awesomeji1.gif

Lots of alt mode pics added to the gallery!

Yeah. I'm disappointed they didn't do the scan of the decal sheet, too. When I emailed a while back, I asked if they had scans (but there was response on that.)

Here's an idea to fix the "Highway Patrol" (or put in any other type like "Autobot City" or etc.) on the door. Get some of that uncut (or maybe even pre-cut might work in this case.) label sheets that you can print your own labels on. Put Highway Patrol, Autobot City, Mission City, etc etc.. (whichever y'like. optimuslaugh2.gif ) print, Cut it to a width of 1.39 inches(35.34 mm) and a height of .34 inches(8.85 mm) and stick to the door? (I took the measurements with a digital Caliper, from the 'notch' for the balljoint, to the end of the door. Also the height from where the black starts, to the base of the window. So, it's not the entire length of the door. If you want, I could get measurements of the entire door to make trimming and applying easier.)

Now, I'll be honest and say I can't comment on how the quality of a label sheet compares to Reprolabel's decals. I've just got my printer working again and haven't had any chance (or money. sweatbead.gif ) to play around with label paper, cutting it out and applying it. I'm just hoping this would be a workable fix.

I kind of feel like the guy off the street, trying to advise the bomb squad. tounge1.gif
"Cut the red one. It's always the red one." "...Done this before?" "Nope. Hope it works out! Bye!" (walks off)

F'n laughlol.gif

Thanks for the measurements and suggestions. I've thought about picking up a slide off decal print kit but...... See, I'm too lazy to buy new cartidges for my printer which is currently inkless at the moment. ...but I'll go and repaint a 10$ figure to make it look exactly like it did when I bought it.... biggrintf.gif Also, I painted the door handles silver so applying labels over them is rather counter productive. I thought about this the other night and if I did print some out I think I'd go with clear backed labels.

I'll end up just buying another label set if reprolabels won't make me some. It's cheap enough and I could just give the remainder of the unused labels to my roommate who buys every TF known to man just to put them in storage and never play with them. I swear... I'll never understand... I'm rambling.
Devil Mazinkaiser
I do like how the rims look painted silver...

Can I ask, did you do that by hand, or did you have some other method of painting it?
Hellscream333
By hand with a Sharpie paint marker and it was a pain in the f'ing arse. I should've just masked those sob's off, cut the excess and sprayed them. Silly me wanting a silver painted rim instead of a chrome one cause it would fit better with the deco.... biggrintf.gif

However, I also like the fact that we can add extra parts etc. Perhaps Hasbro will see the light and give us easier access to reprolabels and sell them with the toys or in toyshops? A few paints and how too guides in a booklet too would be nice!
