Please! It's a follow up to a film that's nearly ten years old.....
...wrong. It IS ten years old.....

not to mention that it - sucked. Even the X-files apologists are walking out of the theater saying: "Thats it?"
EDIT:
LOL - I like how she blames "lots of CGI (computer-generated imagery), action and sex and we don't really off a lot of that in this film"
Because you know - Batman was filled with that stuff.

I think the problem is the film was years late. If it had come out in 2005 or 6...

She should be blaming the concept of "relevance" for making her film look bad.

I heard this movie was terrible. Maybe that is why no-one wants to see it.

I might see it, but show me some Scully skin and I'll see it fer sure.

I saw it last night. It wasn't as bad as everyone claims. Really its just a movie-length X-files episode. I wasn't impressed, but I wasn't feeling ripped off either. Just "ho-hum".

$12 to feel "ho-hum"?
I'd feel ripped off if i were you.

Maybe she should also note that Stepbrothers and Mamma Mia beat her out.

More like 2000, when X-Files still had a finger-hold on relevancy...

Well, wasn't the movie originally supposed to be the true ending to the X-Files? I know it's not like that now, but still...
Lord Madhammer
Aug 4 2008, 07:07 PM
The fact that there has to be a "true ending" says it all. Fuck that show.... (residual angst from caring about it for a few years)

I used to watch it up until the fifth season, IIRC.
Don't really care about it either way, though. If the movie had been the true ending like it was originally promised to be years ago, I might have.

Heh, there was a secret track on the X-Files movie soundtrack (which was actually pretty good) that explained the entire "mythology."

Skips.
Oh and Batman was locked in to be a winner from the beginning.
Xfiles, a movie based on a show that was "cool" ten years ago not so much.
Sex and violence really have little to say whether a film will do good or not. Maybe in the 80s, CGI in the 90s but now a days movies need to be more plot driven than anything.
I'm sure Xfiles had a plot the only question is who this day/age really gives a sh*t.
Sees Step Brothers instead.
