Obama sowing socialist seeds in young people

QUOTE
OP-ED

We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.

The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.

Those same leaders who were in the streets in the '60s are very powerful today in their work to bring down the Iraq war and to attack our president, and they have found their way into our schools. William Ayers is a good example of that.

Thank God, today, we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do to protect our freedom and our democracy. And we have the leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, who has brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from establishing a base in that country. Our soldiers are lifting us to an example of patriotism at a time when we've almost forgotten who we are and what is at stake.

If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there's not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.

Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command, has done their bidding and become a lying fool in his need to demean a fellow soldier and a true hero.

This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.

Yeah, I see a whole lot of buzzwords and assumptions and not very much evidence and deduction. Of course, that really doesn't make it any different from any other op-ed piece. "THINK THE SAME WAY AS ME ON THIS BECAUSE I SAID SO."

The whole premise of "OMG Obama has been influenced by these people and nobody sees it but MEEE" is so very very retarded, and yet so very very common. As if I (or anyone else) would be supporting someone who was a radical militant whatever type of person. If you want to vote for McCain, fine. Be my guest. But this is just lame.

No kidding, maybe someone should right an op-ed piece about how the North Vietnamese have programed McCain to be a Manchurian Candidate, it's equally "valid."

And to say that today "we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do" doesn't mean they aren't being fed ridiculous propaganda or lies either.

Doesn't matter what the soldiers are fed, anyway... they've got a job to do and they do it, or else they end up in jail.

A choice explained by the Matrix:

Morpheus: I imagine that right now you're feeling a bit like Alice. Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
Neo: You could say that.
Morpheus: I can see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he's expecting to wake up. Ironically, this is not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: 'Cause I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life.
Morpheus: I know exactly what you mean. Let me tell you why you're here. You're here because you know something. What you know, you can't explain. But you feel it. You felt it your entire life. That there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there. Like a splinter in your mind -- driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I'm talking about?
Neo: The Matrix? Politics?
Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?
(Neo nods his head.)
Morpheus: The Matrix is Politics are everywhere, it is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work, or when go to church or when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else, you were born into bondage, born inside a prison that you cannot smell, taste, or touch. A prison for your mind. (long pause, sighs) Unfortunately, no one can be told what the Matrix is Politics are. You have to see it for yourself. This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back.
(In his left hand, Morpheus shows a blue pill.)
Morpheus: You take the blue pill and the story ends. You wake in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. (a red pill is shown in his other hand) You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. (Long pause; Neo begins to reach for the red pill) Remember -- all I am offering is the truth, nothing more.
(Neo takes the red pill and swallows it with a glass of water)
Either way you're drinking the kool-aid.

One good way to accomplish that is to stop reading crap like this editorial.

There was an editorial in our paper today from someone whining about the glut of media coverage for Obama when he was making his recent trip around the globe. So, don't get your news just from TV? Television news makes money the same way every other TV program does, by seeking out what is the most interesting for people to watch. Sorry you can't deal with that Shrug.gif

Paraphrasing what Hobbes said else where, where is any un-biased media outlet? When people start digging into the facts (reading/watching/listening) it shows that nobody is un-biased.

For the most part though I'll give AP and Reuters that nod.

That's fair.

To be honest, RDD caught me at around 7am without much sleep, and I'm really more upset with the particular mindset he consistantly betrays than I am with him, per se. Constantly, whether the topic be gay marriage or politics, he never justifies his position with any facts or logic. Instead he'll either refuse to give his reasons, or he'll just ignore any facts that don't fit his version of reality, or just try to make fun of other people and act like a douche. If he doesn't have anything factual to use to say something bad about someone/something, he'll post crap like this saying that Obama is going to turn the US into Cambodia's killing fields under the Khmer Rouge.

And then when he gets called on bullshot he goes "well, I didn't say I agree with it", even though he used the awsum awesomeji1.gif smilie right after it. Edit: Where did the subtitle of "This is as real as it's ever gonna get...Good luck... to us all. come from if he doesn't agree with it? I can't find it in the text he linked, so it pretty much leads to the assumption that it's his opinion.

It's a frequently used style in the media, and he tends to be the one who uses it here the most, and it's complete and utter bullshot. If you've got something to say, at least have the balls to back it up with some facts, or the reason you feel that way. At best it's trolling, at worst it's... well it's still trolling.

I'm sorry for avoiding the swear filter and the flaming, but I stand by my statement that posting complete and utter bullshot like this constitutes being a total tool.

Just like the multitude of pro-Obama threads stick that same proverbial stick up your ass? Get real dude. Vote how you want, but quit the whole "superiority complex" deal you have going. Every time someone disagrees with one of your little posts, you get all high and mighty, shaking your head and saying, "poor liberal morons".

I support your right and decision to vote however you want, and I would really expect you to do the same for me or anyone else. In fact, i respect you for holding to your convictions so strongly. But I do not respect you for your attitude of disdain for anyone who makes a different decision than you. It's retarded, and it belies how close-minded, petty, and small you really are.
