Yeah, its a Texas beer. Brewed in Shiner, 'bout halfway between Houston and San Antonio. Not sure how far it reaches outside of Texas, if at all.

It's readily available in most grocery and liquor stores in LA, but is missing from the menu of most bars and restaurants - so I've taken to drinking more Newcastle or Fat Tire in its place.

I moved to Dallas around '99 and started drinking it there. When I moved to Baton Rouge in '01, it was here already. Even in Restaurants. And sometimes even on tap.

*also partial to my local brewery, Abita*

We used to have a local brewery downtown, before it burned to the ground last summer.

Apparently they had pretty good stuff.
