2008 SDCC: Unscheduled Wolverine SurpriseHmmm, not too sure what to call this Megatron. He's basically a new tank-Megs using the body of the Transformers/Marvel crossover HulkTank and the head of a 2-pack Classics megatron. Oh man was there a lot to paint. I modded the Voyager Animated Megatron barrel to form the shoulder cannon/tank barrel and it still shoots the missile... if I could find pit where it launched to. This is an easy custom to make too, the head screws right on after you remove Hulk's. So here's just a really large and imposing Megatron, done as a tank. This may actually GIVE me a reason to buy at least one marvel crossover. Although I don't think I would want to buy a second animated Megs for the cannon.

Anyhow, great work, Jin. I'd been thinking about doing a G.I. Joe Sigma 6(Metal Mayhem) themed kitbash. Thanks to you, I'd found a bit of an inspiration on a possible cannon.

I bought that Hulk toy with the intention of turning it into a new character. Haven't decided how I'm going to go about it. I'm real curious to see what other people are doing with him. I like what you did with yours.

This reminds me of Beast Machines when Megatron gets the Optimal Optimus body.

fucking jin he's gone and turned this ok toy into something awesome and now I want a hulk toy and I really dont want to spend any more money this month

I also like the idea of Optimal Megatron. I have an extra Optimal Optimus body for parts, byt I never liked the hands on the figure. I wonder how difficult a transplant would be.

I love Megs as a tank, I personally think that it's the perfect choice for a realistic updated mode, while still maintaing the potent symbolism of the original: that the sole purpose of his existence is to destroy.

And, as usual, your paint work is stunning. The only critique I have is, as Piggy mentioned, his toes. They serve no real purpose on a robot, and distract from his awesomeness.

Agreed. Though I appreciate te details included on a few of these molds (much improved / evolved over Megamorphs) they're simply Lost on these characters. It's just too far a stretch, even for Fanboys like myself.

Jin's awesome metallic repaint clearly demonstrates to me : I've found my perfect SHOCKWAVE. (The shape of that gun barrel was the other deciding factor). Thanks for sharing another awesome opus Jin.
