So other than Etoys Japan, has anybody seen any other outlets to get him if your not going to SDCC? Etoys would be great but I don't want to do Paypal on this and that is their only payment option.

There is a couple on Ebay already, but what I want to know is if they're still selling on Hasbrotoyshop.com website?

shameless plug but i have some for sale. As well as other members im sure.

interestingly, after 3 hours of waiting, my friends who where a few spots behind me did NOT get any Nemesis primes on preview night. They stopped selling them. So i imagine this will be very much like last yearas SDCC Alt HotRod. They will "sell out" quickly. there will be an allotted amount each day.
Agent TMan
Meh. I could give two craps about this year's exclusives. Now Alt Hotrod, I'm still sad about that one.
SMITHSQUARED
i just want titanium skywarp... hopefully he will go the way of last years sdcc titanuim

I really liked the 6" Ti line, especially all of the wonderful War Within goodness.

It really sucks that they let people buy multiples. Less toys for everyone = thumbsdown.gif

I've been checking with no luck. I'd like this Nemesis, but I'd realy like SkyWarp. Hope HTS doesn't flake.
Hellscream333
HasbroToyshop won't start selling until after sdcc is over FYI

BBTS has him up for preorder...for those interested.
AutobotW
That looks very cool. Im going to ake a custom G F Nemesis Prime from G F Prime. xbob.gif

Sami
Having friends there helps, though..Got 2 6" titaniums, a Nemesis Prime, and the Prime and Skywarp busts!!
Liege Evilmus
Just bought a loose one off ebay for $1(with $30 shipping). Best price I've seen. Got 1 preorderd on BBTS, but am keeping my eyes on the auctions for a boxed one that may be cheaper.

Also looking for 2 SkyWarps. Wouldn't mind if one was loose but complete, the other has to be boxed though.

On the better characters I like being an MSIB collector, however it doesn't change the fact that I like to play too rofflebot[1].gif

I'm watching the Cybertron DVDs right now and yeah, I wish that awesome figure(one of the best Primes IMO) had a Nemesis.

Hey has anyone else noticed that Nemesis Prime has 2 raised nubs on the back of his alt mode. It looks like something could slide on them and maybe even hold in place. I checked my Classics Prime and he doesn't have them.

Can I hope its a retool for a reissue of Prime with a trailer?

Maybe, although it could be nothing.

Can I hope someone who didn't leave their camera at work to take a pic of this to show what I'm talking about?

Hopefuly.
Fatherdeth
Is it just me, or is the storyline for this Nemesis Prime just plain stupid? When you hear the words "NEMESIS PRIME", you kind of expect a clone of Optimus Prime that could kick even Megatron's butt. This guy's story suggests he's some retooled Cybertronian that looks like Prime and has some of his memories, but is some kind of unstable robotic vampire. Hiding in the shadows.....give me a break. I am no fan of Optimus Prime. As a matter of fact, I have masterpiece Megatron on my desk at work holding masterpiece Prime's head. I have always thought of Prime as a little *****, but when I first heard about the Nemesis Prime concept back in the day, I was very excited. Here was a dark version of Prime. Now they just totally ruined it. I guess that's Hasbro for you.

Now, my problem is whether I want to open this Nemesis Prime after paying the BBTS no vaseline on this **** price.

I gotta disagree. Instead of him just being "ZOMG, Prime but teh evils!" and reversing his personality so he's cruel instead of kind, blah blah, they took some poor schmuck, programmed Prime's knowledge into him without giving him anything to frame it around, and it broke him. I kinda like that part, it's a unique spin. Also, bonus points for getting Straxus mentioned.. hopefully we'll see a toy of him in Universe someday.

But count me in on not seeing these new bumps on the mold.. I've got 5 of the fig, and they all look like they share the same version of the mold as the first run of Classics Prime. Can you be more specific as to where exactly to look, Liege?
However, it's always looked like he's been designed for a possible trailer -- there's a hitch on the back of his legs, you can see it in tru's pic-- (in fact, rumors when he was first shown was that there'd be 2 versions of him, one just the cab sold as a voyager, and one with a trailer that was to be sold as a leader class, iirc). I suspect it's just one of those mold details that surived thru to the production figure that wont end up being used (like the trailer hitch on Energon Rodimus).

I went crazy trying to figure this out last night, my Prime and Magnus don't have that nub. Beats the hell out of me why it's not there, it just aint.

On the topic of Classics though, it's great to see them back, and i'm hoping that with renewed intrest a Trailer for Prime gets developed.
I think to help keep the intrest going though, and promote sales of these awesome figures that seem to just be sitting around me, wouldn't it be a good idea if Cartoon Network aired MTMTE as a movie special.

Put the characters back on the screen, and i bet the demand will start to reach the supply. Plus, we'd get to watch the first Transformers episodes again even though we all probably have them on DVD already.

I don't care about the bios, I make up my own stories. My first Nemesis(RID Scourge) was made by Megatron as an instult to the autobots. Scourge was one hell of a fighter though, and took over the Decepticons himself. Universe Nemesis was created by Unicron as a gift to Scourge who was recently dethroned. Universe Nemesis helped get the empire back and with the aid of his right hand RazorClaw kept the Decepticons inline as Unicrons minions. My next Nemesis(NightWatch Prime) was made by HellRaisers PinHead, after TM2 Megatron removed Scourges lightpiping and gave it to him as a gift as he assumed comand of the Decepticons.

NightWatch although powerful, is somewhat daft and tends to remain docile untill provoked. PinHead who still has the lightpiping decided he wasn't pleased with his first atempt in exploring this new type of creature and delved deep inside the technologhy and mindset and created a new Scourge almost to perfectly who has a mindset based solely on avenging himself and taking back his empire.

That is, assuming he can break free from his dark entanglements.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Screw the bios, when I buy it, I own it, and from there the name, bio, faction, and everything else is up to me to decide.
Blitz
I have to say I also make up my own storys since the bio's tend to fall short

I do like the Shattered Glass prime bio about him just being a what if? evil prime but is he really a nemesis? or something new I dunno

also its a shame 2008 SDCC nemi prime is just a little too small to really use Black Convoys trailer he can drag it around but its sketchy
Agent Zero
Add an other to the "screw the bios" crowd. They're kind of neat to read, but I ultimately make up my own stories.
My Nemesis Prime (RiD Scourge) was once a mid-level Decepticon known as Motormaster (no toy representation, but he would have been a black pick-up).
During a battle with the Autobots Motormaster was severely damaged. During the same battle Optimus Prime was also on the tail end of a beating, with the Matrix temporarily exposed.
During the moments when it was exposed Shockwave was able to record its energy signature, which he later used to replicate the power of the Autobot Matrix.
Mototmaster, being near death, seemed like the perfect candidate for Shockwave's experiment. The near-stasis locked Decepticon was exposed to the copied Matrix energy; as a result he transformed into a Prime-like robot and gained increasing power. To mark his new lease on life he renamed himself "Nemesis Prime."
He attempted to overthrow Megatron AND kill Optimus Prime in a bid to claim complete leadership over all Cybertronians. His power went to his head, however. Despite gaining advanced strength from the Matrix's energies, he did not have the Matrix itself. Megatron beat him into submission, squeezing his spark to the point of death. Broken, Nemesis Prime became an extremely powerful, but loyal, servant of Megatron and the Decepticon cause.
Discosis
Well, I've seen tons of Universe 2.0 Nemesis Prime figures in Toys R Us here in Singapore.

SGD $59.99

I've been wondering if these figures / boxes are the same as the SDCC ones or if there's some kind of subtle thing that differrentiates them from the SDCC figures. They seem to be everywhere here!

(Amusingly, I picked it up boxed at a market for $55 last week, a store nearby that sells collectables had a loose one going for $70)

If anyone missed out on him at SDCC I could perhaps grab one or two and post them... pm me?

Hmmmm !!! That's a very interesting concept. I like it. I agree with what one of the other posters said earlier. I give them props for bringing up Straxxus, however, to make this guy in the image of Prime, but all he does is hide in the shadows and try and destroy other transformers. Nahhh, if I'm going to be like some of you in here and make up the storylines, then I'm gearing more towards Nemesis being kind of like the transformers version of Serpentor.

I ordered mine on 7/31 and haven't received it. Hasbro Toy Shop. Each day I've checked for the last 4-5 days said it was scheduled to ship whatever date it was when I looked. Didn't get a reply to email after a few days so I called. The website is confused on the ship time. Agent I spoke to said it's showing there will be a mass ship date of 8/25 is expected.

...at least it's coming.

At least you're not paying double the amount I did when I went with BBTS. I'm a pretty patient person, but I didn't do my research. I just assumed that this would be a pretty rare item, and I like my "evil" Primes, so I just jumped at the opportunity. I think the wait will be worth the price you are paying.
Fatherdeth
Well, I still haven't opened my $52.00 SDCC Nemesis that I purchased from BBTS. So, low and behold, last night I went on to hasbrotoyshop.com and.....................................They still have Nemesis for less than $30. WOW does my rectum feel really sore (sorry for the disturbing thought). I have always liked BBTS for having rare things, but I feel like they really ****** people this time. I'm really going to do my research in the future. Basically, I went on ahead and ordered another one last night from HTS so I can open one up and keep the other packaged. Anybody else in here get so impatient and felt the need to give BBTS $20 than necessary?

Got mine in the mail today. Now the dilemma is do I open him up or leave him in the box. I'm not a MISB collector, but he's an exclusive. However, I take excellent care of my figures and display them pretty promptly after opening them.

There is one exception to my boxed TF rule and that's my Star Convoy reissue that my folks got me for my 20th birthday. He's not MISB, but he's MIB. He's been handled, but was back in the box within a day.

ATM, until I come to a decent decision, he's sitting in his box on top of the piano.
