So, last night I was flipping through the channels and came across a Denise Richards reality show. She was going to the beach and I thought "Okay, Denise Richards is going to be in a bikini, this might be worth 30 seconds of my attention." While she was at the beach, they showed a bunch of paparazzis (paparazzo? paparazzos?) that had followed her to the beach taking pictures of her...and THEY'RE FACES WERE FUZZED OVER!

I said to myself, "Self, isn't it great that we live in a country where some random douchebag with a camera take pictures of someone in what should be a private setting with the intention of selling those photos to the highest bidder where they will be reprinted in some check-out lane rag for millions to see...can themselves enjoy anonymity simply by not consenting to have their likeness appear on telelvision?"

I often at people who tell me that the American system of measurements (miles, ounces, etc) is easier to figure out than the Metric system.

well, for us it is. like language. I always hear people say "i don't see how hispanics talk so fast". but being bi-lingual and knowing many hispanics personally I can tell you that they say the same thing about us. . . except in spanish. . .and fast.

One of my idiosyncrasies. I understand Heights and distances better in miles or feet but when it comes down to measurements of say Paving slabs, Toys, Guns etc.. I prefer Metric.

I prefer talking in metres for short distances, but long distances in miles. I can't imagine how long a kilometer is... All small things are centimetres, except for Warhammer (which rules do in inches)...

This is untrue. My wife is 5'8" and never weighed more than 115 pounds (until she had babies.) There was a joke with all of our friends about when we went out to eat that if you wanted to get the biggest thing on the menu, just wait until my wife ordered and get the same thing. When people saw her and said "I bet you eat like a bird," I'd say "A vulture, maybe." Now I don't say that because one day she punched me in the face...

Yea Skinny Wimminz = slang for annorexics. Not healthy bodied individuals. I was (17 1/2) stone = 245 pounds in High School and now am 11 stone = 154 pounds I can happily eat 4 or 5 12 inch pizzas and a kilo of chocholate daily in the knowledge I wont put on weight..
