Nice work, ServO! I got to admit, the Armada SS head on Darkscream looks quite nice. Kinda like he's an upgraded version of the Armada character.

Seriously, the head doesn't look too big? It isn't permanantly attached, so it would be really easy to swap out with something else...I just didn't want to continue any further with this WIP until I got some feedback or suggestions on my progress...Thanks for looking!

Does it slide back into the shaft when he transforms? That would be the deciding factor IMO.

That's good question Hunter...I'm not sure yet...since I haven't finished painting him yet, I'm trying not to move his parts around too much...since I haven't settled on this head 100% yet, I figured I would wait until everything was painted the way I like it before I start working on his alt mode. I'll try and finish up his robot mode tonight/tomorrow and then we'll see where we are at...I just wanted to see if anyone else thinks this head swap is too much...

I think the head goes well with this custom too. If you can find a way to make it fit, you should keep it

My only comment is that if you do choose to keep the head, be wary of the two different tones of black. It doesn't look too bad as is, but you might want to try and make them match.

Yeah...I totally got my eye on that...the head will still need to get the repaint...I just sorta stuck it on there to appease my brain.

y not make the animated head and the armada head both removable via magnet?

have you considered using energon stormjet for the body and energon starscream for the head

seriously stormjet would look damn sweet painted up as a cobra nightraven especially if you mod omnicon skyblast to serve as a night raven drone

Nice repaint ServO - definitely an improvement ! The darker colors & more appropriate head make him seem more menacing. It's not out of proportion (anymore... that frakkin' CHIN was too much!). Hopefully that head will work with the altmode =) The hand details are slick - looks like he's wearing some cool gloves. Did you detail inside the cockpit at all ?

The upcoming movie blackbird could yield some design ideas for making a G.I.Joe / TF crossover-themed MP-SS... someone HAS to work on this line! The potential is just too great to pass up. Machine-Wars Starscream would make a good base figure to start with.
That SW-TF Shuttle has a similar shape to the smaller Cobra Blackbird drone.



Just keep evolving the idea(s) & collaborating with other Cutomizers & the form will come to you ( ooh - and take lotsa PICS ! )

Some one's in the kitchen wiiiiiith DaaaaarkScreeeeam!!!!! Oh, wait...guess he's not the Robots in Disguise character...bummer, I was so excited to see a blue flying squirrel, but still a cool idea! I remember when Animated figures were first shown, a lot of haters tossed the idea around of plopping a non-cartoony head on the Animated Starscream body; nice to see someone has executed that!

Ok...a couple of things...

I can't do the magnet thing with the heads because the original animated head is getting shipped to another country for a fellow collector that recieved his Starscream without a head.

I haven't detailed the cockpit YET, but I plan on doing so...I was pleasantly suprised to find a semi detailed instrument panel underneath that canopy.

Thanks for noticing the detail on the hands! It was a simple way to give him some more depth.

Stormjet would make a nice Night Raven, but I think he might be a bit too small, and the arms on that figure look just horrible...other than that, I will be taking a closer look at that figure.

That would include me. I think it turned out rather nice. It would be nicer to see the final pic without anything behind the toy as its a bit confusing to see the entire fig. It looks like Armada Screamers head is just a little too big but I'm not sure.
