While I think And the X-Men looks good, I'm still not convinced that Wolverine is the best character Marvel has to put in front of a team. From mercenary, to labrat, to teammate and then to the absolute lead of the entire Marvel Universe?

I don't know how Wolverine ended up leading the X-Men in both this and X-Men 3. I guess it's a marketing thing, because he is absolutely not a leader.

On the other note, holy crap that's a lot of various storylines and side charachters. It's like the love from the 90s series updated. I'll take it.

Wolvie is probably chosen for his fighting knowlege considering a war is about to go down in a big way.. Plus we all know that Storm is the real leader...

No the reason he's in the lead for this show, is because he's ridiculously popular. In one of the DC Marvel crossovers, he defeated Lobo. You know how little sense that makes, seeing as how Wolverine is not one of the strongest Marvel characters, and Lobo is feared by almost all DC characters. The only reason this happened is because he's to d@mn popular to die.

Yeah, that's the point, that's how popular Wolverine is. He's so popular, it would kill people if he died. So they had him beat Lobo. The most improbable thing in the world.

well the outcomes of the final five battles (Batman vs Captain America, Superman vs Hulk, Spider-Man vs Superboy, Storm vs Wonder Woman, and Wolverine vs Lobo) were decided by the fans. Also, there's no way Storm woulda beat Wonder Woman. Also, Cyclops has become a pretty badass leader in the X-Men comics, particularly in Astonishing and during the Messiah Complex storyline.

The whole thing looked awesome... But Wolverine leader? Main character, sure. TEAM leader... that like neuters him, and Cyclops.
