Cadogen, thanks for a yet another great review. I know you're probablty tired of my nit picking but I just can't help myself: you forgot to straighten out his toes/tail pipes.

My only gripe with this figure is the fact that the shoulders are blocked from moving rearward and he has no arms swivel whatsoever. How annoying! Such huge claws and I can do next to nothing with them His legs are fine since they provided a hip swivel on each ball joint.... but those damn arms

Nice review. I'm on the fence about this guy.


I hear tell Blackarachnia can actually ride his bike mode. Anyone with both figures care to check on that, as I'm a sucker for Transformers that be piloted by other figs.

The biggest thing that I can't get past is...this guy's head just does not fit the body...these seem like two extremely mismatched parts IMO. The bike looks kinda cool, the robot body is not bad...but that head...?

Rattrap is riding a bucking Malebolgia and Quickstrike is ridin' this fat samurai demon figure thing lol.

you just want to see her riding something. its kewl, I'm with ya.

i've got both so i'll try it out tonight and report back. the only imediate difficulty i can think of right now is the lack of foot pegs on the motorcycle for her feet..

Yeah, I agree. It may be a bit cliche, be I was thinking a more skull like head in appearance would be nice.

the head is awesome, very unique. the only way i'd think of improving it would be to seal fluid insice the dome so it can splash around.

I can't be perfect, so the nitpicking doesn't bother me much




I'd check for you except I already have most of my figs (including BA) packed away for my move this weekend. If someone doesn't show pics by the time I unpack, I'll oblidge.

Question: Can you remove the bubble from his head?
What would he look like with just his inner head? Would it affect transformation or the bike mode?

I also like the idea of moving the ramskull to his head - give whole new meaning to "head in altmode" syndrome.

As far as Black Arach riding the bike mode, she's a little toooooooo big for that. Looks kinda bad. How ever, 25th anniversary GI Joe figures fit nicely on Oil Slick. I'm still hunting for 25th Zartan to be the rider for oil slick...since his colors are exactly the same as old Zartans Chameleon. The pin stripping, spikes and old time canisters are a perfect match for a Zartan/dreadnok vehicle.

Also I didnt notice the attack mid transformation mode but I can see how this will be played out in the cartoon. It looks good to me (just keep the head hidden in this mode).

I really do hope he ends up being a buddy/partner of Lockdown in the story.

Over all the is the best of the Deluxes (in my book) great character design and not as fragile as Lockdown (still hunting for a good lockdown...boy is he ever rare).

The quality of these figures have been sub-pare. I worry opening a package fearing that something is broken while in package...this happened to me twice now: starscream and lockdown.

The next one on my short list is soundwave...the whole guitar gimick was a sale for me since I play guitar. Again i just hope the quality is as good as my Blackarach and Oil Slick.

He looks ok, love the alt mode, is cute. But with Prowl I'm done.

she can do it but she's way too tall

energon divebomb is a better fit if you just had to use another tf as rider.

Meh. This is the second Animated figure I will definitely be skipping.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's having fits over the articulation. For a fellow ninja-bot like Jazz and Prowl, he needs more articulation! Out of the whole Wave 4 Dlx group though, I'm having the most fun playing with Oilslick...which is slightly odd, since he was the one I wanted the least.

Anyhow, does anyone know what material the skull is made of? I kind of want to repaint mine purple for a BW TMII Ramulus homage.

Got OilSlick as a surprise gift this weekend and WOW!
I love him!

He's really a lot of fun. Has decent articulation and looks great in both modes.

His weapon(s) are a bit wonky but fun in a sort of way.

My only gripe is a conceptual gripe only and that is:
Wheels - he's not really a motorcycle if he has 4 wheels now is he

But over all thats not enough to kill the amazing amounts of this figure has!

I wanted to wait for a repaint* but ... damn! I'm glad i got him!

*A Red and Blue Cykill would make me hard in all the right places

And yes, red and blue on this figure would be great.

I haven't had a problem with any of my TFA figs.

If you have the star wars commander gree figure, he can ride prowl. I pose him on him all the time. looks awesome

I'd guess one of my other SW figures could ride Oil Slick too. I should get him and see, but I don't want any figures that weren't in the show...
