did ANYONE notice this? that shockwave has 2 hands?who knows maybe in season 3 his hand gets cut off and he makes it into a gun.

maybe his left arm can change into a cannon. or maybe it gets altered when he adopts an earth mode. or maybe its an upgrade he buys/trades for from swindle or lockdown.

I'm gonna go along with the hand-can-transform-into-gun theory. After all, Bumblebee's hands can transform into drills (that can shoot stuff... cos ya know, drills do that) and Bulkhead's hand transforms into wrecking balls.

I think it's been stated several times throughout the show that they are stingers. Where do you get "drills" from?

And I didn't notice the lack of Shockwave's dildo-hand. I guess if it wasn't important enough for us to notice, it won't be important enough to include. I guess being a "Punch/Counterpunch" is a lot cooler than a useless gun-hand.

Personally I don't care if Shockwave has a cannon hand. He might like being ambidextrous for a change.

He's in the series. He's got 1 eye. He's a Decepticon communication officer working on Cybertron. He's even voiced by the same actor.

I think that's more than enough fanwank there already.

At least this time around he actually has more to do than just watch the spacegate and guard it (which he wasn't very good at in G1, I might add). And he's a spychanger now.

The only thing I hope is that they re-color him to his G1 colors, just like the Constructicons. The Botcon panel told us there is a reason for him having a different color. I'd like to think it was done to avoid people knowing who he really was the second he appeared on the screen. I seem to recall them thinking about making him purple, but not knowing if they'll go through with it.

FWIW, Shockwave had 2 hands in his first appearance in the original Transformers series.

In Animated? Yea I noticed. Theres that one time he goes from Longarm Prime to Shockwave and he takes his hands up for a second to show his evilness. Anyhow I doubt they will do the thing about having his arm be blasted or cut off and getting that. In Transformers if a TF looks like something they stay that way (unless they become a Prime, get reborn etc.)

You haven't been watching animated have you? every bot on the show except Blackarachnia and the Dinobots scanned and got body alterations. Even Soundwave started as a small bot and got and upgrade.

What does that have to do with what I said? I never said anything about that. If your saying Shockwave will scan and get a new body getting the arm your wrong. He has no reason to go to Earth.

I ment as in when they get their Earth mode. Also in TFA many TFs stay with their Cybertron mode.

K now I'm just confused. If would help if you said which Shockwave you were talking bout. Cause formerly nortagem posted a pic with G1 and before it was TFA so I just have no idea.

It's Animated Shockwave, but I think the G1 Shockwave image was also supposed to represent that Shockwave, at points, in G1 was given two hands as well.

Animated has its small share of animation errors. I've seen Blitzwing have his Cybertron wings on his back in robot mode several times in very recent episodes, mainly when he's inside Megatron's cave. Mixmaster's tracks were suprisingly similar to Blitzwing's in the last episode at one point as well.

well it could be animation errors but IMO it was just a homage to teh G1 animation errors

Yea I noticed that too being a fan of so much. They did that on purpose to show how much the clones are like him, or just need different helmet sizes. Well anyhow, I think if it was G1 it may have been an animation mistake or Shockwave could have switched blaster or hand when he wanted. In TFA he just doesn't have one. Thats my final say in this topic.

Which ones kept their Cybertron modes that came to Earth?

Only one I think, Lockdown (he has the same Muscle car mode on Earth as he does in the flash back Ratchet has back on Cybertron). But that doesn't matter with this topic based on Shockwave because in TFA Shockwave never went to Earth, keeping his Cybertron mode on Cybertron. Now there you go.

What was up with BlackArachnia's helmet being on the ground near all the energon when Elita, Optimus, and Sentinel, first got to that planet?

I always thought that was either ment for a possible future plot device, or just some real bad foreshadowing.

I don't think that Blurr got an Earth mode either.

You never see if thats Blurr's Cybertron mode or if he scanned it as an Earth vehicle.

yeah I'd say it's an Earth mode considering that everyone else thought that he was an Earth car.

They also thought that about Lockdown as well (except for Ratchet because of a previous encounter).

I thought that Lockdown's Cybertron alt-mode was always in the dark. I don't remember ever seeing his car mode clearly while he was on Cybertron.

perhaps Earth cars happen to look kinda Cybertronian cos of Sumdac's brilliant™ reverse-engineering. (>_>)
