Hi all!

I just joined the forums this evening and this is my first post!

I'm here looking for a little help/advice. I am an avid collector of Takara/Tomy's Binaltech line but have something of a obsession with keeping my things in pristine condition. So imagine my horror when I discovered several of my beloved Transformers had damaged paintwork (a common problem on die cast toys I've read!). I was wondering if anyone here has succeeded in touching up paintwork on die cast models, Binaltechs in particular? I was thinking would it be a simple matter of getting a touch up stick from the real car manufacturer? Surely if the cars are authentically licensed the shade of paint would have to be very close to the real deal? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? Anyway, any and all advice/tips would be appreciated!!

P.S Not sure if I'm in the right forum so if any MODS want to move this feel free!

Some of the paint used on BTs Looks damn close to original factory colors, though I would test it first...
(somewhere inconspicuous on the undercarriage) to be sure. Those 'Touch-up sticks' can be quite useful - especially
with smaller scratches / dings / whatnot. If using oil-based enamels (like most factory paints), applying a thin coat of
(paint) thinner over the 'patch' area can smooth out paint coverage. Patience is a crucial tool here.
