Multiple choice for those of you who can't make up your minds. (Like, uh, me. XD )

So~ of the introduced 'Cons, who're your favorites? Personally, I'm pretty torn between Shockwave (I love him in G1, and he hasn't let me down in TFA), Lugnut (I find his unquestioning devotion endearing), and the Clones (for pure comic awesome, and because Chickscream kicks some major skidplate~). <3


(And before anyone asks-- both Swindle and Lockdown work for the highest bidder. Since they don't have any particular loyalty to the 'Con cause, they aren't really Decepticons, IMO.)

Pained me to do this, but I voted Screamer. He's fantastic in Animated.

I wanted to vote Soundwave, but... well... he sucks. One appearance, defeated in one punch, basically a puppet of Megs... sigh.

I hope he comes back with a vengeance.

Starscream. He's like G1 Starscream, who I loved, but 10x better.

Well, I can state what I don't like, right?

I don't care for Blackarcnia much.. but thats like recessive BW memories coming back.. I can't bridge her with Elita 1 .. and.. She's Silverbolt's girl, not Optimus! BA never used her appearance to charm people in BW.. TFA doesn't seem to have much trouble in that. I dunno.. feels like they've done the character a bit of injustice.

Lugnut.. I dunno.. he's silly.. but not Blitzwing silly. If you were to put G1 Shockwave, BW Scroponok and a dash of BW Inferno into a blender.. you pretty much get Lugnut. He's more like Inferno but missing all the pyschotic charms that made him really enjoyable.. the only thing I'd say he's good for is being someone to bounce one liners off.. (comedic stylings of Blitzwing and Lugnut.. the next Larrel and Hardy) by himself, he kind of pales.

Lockdown .. Ehhhh.. I just don't like the guy much. I think its cool sometimes he's kind of on the fence and works with the Autobot(s) if at the time it would be more benefical.. and I like that fact that he doesn't care much about either side unless he's getting paid to hunt them down. He just seems bland to me though. He's just a typical bounty hunter type character.. atleast for now anyway.

Megatron - I can't really think of anything to accurately describe his sheer -ness! (except that)
Starscream - Sponge Star Scream Pants puts other Starscreams from past series to shame, including G1!
Blitzwing - (calm) "Ze name iz Blitzwing, insect." (angry) "REMEMBER IT!!! FOR ITZ ZE LAST THING YOU WILL EVER HEAR BEFORE I..." (crazy) "Break into song! 'Oh, ze itzy bitzy spider went up ze water spout...'" Three personalities full of
Lugnut - Alway by his "Great and glorious leader"'s side - whether Megatron wants him there or not. His punch makes things "asplode"!
Shockwave - Decepticon double agent and overall

the Seeker clones - the female Seeker was my favorite of them. She's certainly the most balanced of all of the clones.

I voted for Megatron, Screamer, Blitzwing, Lugnut, Shockwave and the Screamer clones+Chickscream.

The reasons for not voting for the other choices.

Blackarachnia-while I feel the character has potential, they just won't let that potential come to fruition. It's annoying cause I really feel this way and she'd make a great Decepticon given the history that we know about her. We finally have an Decepticon with Autobot training. She knows Prime's moves and can see them coming which in turn would cause him to improvise. Plus she can borrow abilities=

Soundwave-a one episode character that we have yet to see return (hopefully in season 3 like the writers have mentioned). If he comes back with an attitude and Laserbeak to boot, that'll be just pure win.

Scrapper and Mixmaster-not the best Decepticons I've ever seen. They're whole aim in life is to work for oil. That's it. The Brooklyn accents are kinda stupid if you ask me. It's too "construction guy" stereotypical. I know that's the point, but still.

I think I voted for SS and Blitzy...

As far as best action figure, Starscream hands down! best toy of the line (yeah I finally got a good one). But when it comes to Animated it's a pretty tough choice. Granted I actually like the cartoon and the personalities...rings right on up there with beast machines.

However I am finding it hard to find a Con that I like personality wise because (as usual) writers still make it easy for the autobots by giving them low rent below average goof ball bad guys.

As a character Starscream is the WORST! Yeah powerful but personality hearkens back to the same crappy G1 guy. For once I'd like to see a starscream personality overhauled into a true brilliant tactician (like beast machines Rinox, the best anti- megatron in any transformers series) who knows that Megatron is not the best.

Anyhow I'm ranting on here.

So what's left out of the bafoons?

well there's Lockdown, probibly the best if there must be a bad guy, however he's not totally, infact he looks to be one who will go after cons next season (he got screwed by megatron last season).

Another very well developed bad guy is Blackarachnia. Like Lockdown, is way above her decepticon pers and is no suck up to megatron. In fact once she gets what she wants, she's leaving the cons behind. So yeah like Lockdown, she's another candidate for defecting from the bad guys. Actually I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new paint job/mold with autobot logo on Blackarachnia in the next season.

So yeah, what it comes down to is that if the bad guy in question is actually not a member of the 3 stooges, is not a suck-up, is actually intelligent, their aligience to the decepticon cause is very limited.

So what does that leave us?

Megatron...in particular, Animated Megatron.

Earlier I mentioned that Starscream was in desperate need of character development overhaul. Starscream wasn't the only annoying laughable bad guy in the transformers series, Megatron ranks in my book as the worst bad guy ever created. I could never stand the Gene Simons wanna-be.

Megatron needed a complete facelift...and to my suprise when I saw the very first episode it was a brand new, Megatron Done Right!

Now we actually have a villain worth respecting. Un-like his other poorly consistent incarnations this Megatron is intelligent, brilliant, calculating, military minded, all serious (the voice work is the best...that Mr Freeze type sound is excellent) and once more is true villainy.

I love Lockdown and Black Aracknia but thats mostly cause they are more like bounty hunter/mercenary characters.

As for whos the best villain of the series? Megatron...hands down! to bad his toy incarnations for this series are not as good as Starscreams, but this poll was for the Characters as portrayed in Animated, right?

I did place vote for the clone screams because Chick scream is bunddled with that.

However Chick scream DOES have a name! and because her character stands out more she's in need of her own listing.

No, we're assuming he knows what he's talking about when he says he isn't part of either faction~ both he and Swindle are pure mercenary and merchant, working for the highest bidder. That's frequently the Decepticons, but there's nothing to say they won't work with Autobots-- especially seeing as, y'know, Lockdown HAS *points at Fistful of Energon*.

And as much as I like the clones, those names aren't official. Especially not Chickscream-- last I checked, people were still puzzling over where they pulled her color scheme from.

I guess I'm just imagining sh!t...But I'm pretty sure Lockdown does for the most part have a con symbol on his chest...so unless somehow in season 3 he starts sporting new colors along with the flaming paint job, I think a jury of 12 honest fans would pass along the verdict of "guilty" for being a decepticon.

Don't get me wrong, I really dig the idea that he's got one foot in autobot city here, but don't forget Blackarachnia does too. Hell, by the end of "Black Friday" it was pretty clear that the writers of this series are totally using the beast wars play book. Yet you got her on your poll list (I'm sure you didn't miss the episode).

Anyways that's my logical reason for getting Lockdown on your poll here...so other fans may vote on him instead of the second best thing.

As far as the coloring of the clone screams...I guess I'm more puzzled as to how people can't see what color goes with what. I thought it was confirmed that a toy Scream will be repainted as Skywarp (I could be wrong). Anyhow it's pretty easy to tell:

ThunderCracker = Egomaniac Scream = flat blue

Skywarp = Coward Scream = bright purple and black

Sunstorm = Suck Up Scream = yellow orange, white and some black

Ramjet = Pathological Lier Scream = white, dark red, and black

Dirge = Chick/Intelligent Scream = bright blue and black

All we are really missing here is the all dark red clone, Thrust, if we will ever see that one.

But I 'm just blowing hot air here...

Oh, I agree that where they draw their coloring from is obvious enough, but (so far) their confirmed names are Liar Scream, Sycophant Scream, etc. (And Chickscream is more bright aqua and violet than bright blue and black, IMO-- not very Dirge-ish.) We should wait until word comes down from God (and by God, I mean one of the creators) on their actual names before deciding that we're right. Who knows? They may get names utterly unconnected to their G1 colorsakes~ somewhat like their personalities have nothing to do with their G1 colorsakes.

Yet the toy of Lockdown has a con symbol...weird.

Closer examination of Lockdowns chest in the screen caps shows that a space is blocked out for a faction symbol and the shape of that spot is clearly that of the autobot symbol. hmmmm

Well he's a con on the toy, and his loyalty split is no different than Blackies...it would have been cool to vote for him.

As far as the Dirge/chick scream colors, I'm now thinking that she looks more like a cyclonus based on the purple addition of her colors.

Also, Tom Kenny's Starscream voice is just awesome.

I voted Shockwave cuz he himself can transform into 4 modes with 2 personalitys AND hes already on the Elite Guard for the autobots as a "Prime" for all his good work.

Hes got em all fooled and ALMOST made it into their (megs & his) goal of domination of Cybertron.
