Lockdown: Lance Henriksen. Originally was meant to be "The Terminator" when James Cameron was trying to get funding for the movie. Lance even showed up to a studio exec's office in full Terminator makeup and scared the pants off the poor guy. Later Arnold got wind of the project and "proclaimed" he was to be the Terminator (the rest is history). Lance did have a part in the movie as assistant detective to Paul Winfield's cheif of police character. Most probably remember Lance as either "Bishop" from Aliens or as the bad guy in Hard Target. My personal favorite movie of Lance is Near Dark, in which he, Bill Paxton, and Jenette Goldstein sort of have an Aliens reunion and play the roles of renegade vampires set in modern day Texas. The movie was pure awesome and I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't seen it.
Ultra Magnus: Jeff Bennett. Jeff does numerous other voices on the show (including Prowl), but what struck me is how much he sounds like Robert Stack, whom did the voice of Ultra Magnus in the 1986 movie. Robert Stack for me, was most known for his Unsolved Mysteries show, which I watched for many years and would get spooked by as a teen when it came out in 1988. Robert passed away some years back I recall. In the case of TF Animated, Jeff is clearly paying homage to Stack, and I like that a lot.
Megatron: Corey Burton. We all know him mainly for his roles in the g1 cartoon, the major one being Spike Witwicky. The problem for me is Megatron in TFA sounds very similar to Spike, and I can hear it in every line Megatron speaks. Maybe not a bad thing if you consider it another homage to classic g1
Meltdown: Peter Stormare. Holy cow, I missed this one! Peter is another of my favorite real life actors. You may remember him as the main bad guy opposite Steve Buscemi in Fargo. He was also awesome as Dino Velvet in 8mm. I simply did not recognize his voice when watching the show!
Well that's just to name a few. Anyone else have some opinions on the voice talants? Lets hear em!
