We all hope Prowl makes it to the movie. And, given the recent Japanese, Alternator-esque pics that've surfaced, it seems he IS gonna be.

But think about it...he's always been a sports car, dressed up like a patrol unit. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that concept, but does it really fit him? He's too by-the-book. Too logical. Too much of a personality-lacking hardass. Wouldn't a Crown Vic suit him more?



It's just as bland as he is.

I know a Crown Victoria isn't enough for Bay, but I'm curious as to you guys' thoughts.








And just to throw this in, I saw IDW Prowl at the Nissan dealership when my sister was gettin' her new Altima. On the roof is a carboard lightbar to advertize LOJACK.

The Maryland Transportation Authority uses Dodge Chargers and Magnums along with more common police models---of course, those aren't GM, but maybe something analogous would work. I know some forces use the Impala, which as a patrol vehicle is "pretty by the book". However, the Charger looks both officious and bad-*** at the same time, so in a perfect, non-licensed world, it would be my pick---and I'm traditionally a GM kind of guy!

You know what movie Prowl's personality is going to be like?!!

Seriously, this is the movie-verse. Things can and more then likely will change.

He's not a Decepticon. Movie Decepticons are the ones who don't get personalities, except leaders. Bonecrusher, Brawl, Blackout, Starscream, Cyclonus, Scourge....

Yeah he'll be voiced by Will Smith this time around.



I'm still hoping it's the Japanese Malibu first seen.

In all seriousness, the Movie Autobots didn't stray TOO far from their normal, widely accepted personalities:

Ironhide was a grizzled war hound
Ratchet was quiet and compassionate
Bumblebee was spunky and personable
Prime was wise, caring, stong-willed
Jazz was 'hip' and in tune with pop culture

So Prowl being boring and logic-driven isn't TOO much of a stretch.

Also what Prowl esq Alternator that we saw? I keep up with all news & i didnt see it. Unless i dont understand.

Anyways, Prowl IS gonna be in the movie. Hes written in as a full on character that has a "certain" attitude with IDW in the new Reign of Starscream comic. They had certain characters they couldnt have as much lei way with & he is one of them. So in turn, hes in it no doubt in my mind.
