Trying a technique for 'Photo-Op' damage that can be removed when the shoot is over. Basically, you just:
1) Cover part to 'damage' with Bare-Metal Foil, rubbing into panel lines & details with Q-tip /soft implement.
2) Using plastic toothpick / flosser (or other NON-Metal tool), carefully scratch shape of damage into the foil.
It usually takes a few strokes to score & then scratch the foil away.
3) Here, I scraped back the edges of the 'damaged' area & crumpled them over in a rough pattern to simulate
badly twisted metal 'skin'. Layering it further makes it look that much more shredded.
-I had covered my custom Alt. Streak's hood with "Bare Metal Foil", attempting to get that 'chromed' look & it worked great! Lots of shiny, metallic lustre (still searching for the 'pre-battle' pics). After a few months storage in the TF-bin, a few scratches had been dealt to the hood (still blaming Alt. Ravage's custom claws...) The damage looked authentic so I decided to run with it & experiment a bit. Simple to apply and totally reversible (scratch off)
<Note /Afterthought> In this quick, cheap example the foil resembles the figure's base color. This method would
probably look better on a darker colored figure, having painted the top of the foil to match. Next time....
