They could explain it by saying that Sam was infused with energies from the Allspark when it exploded and in order for Prime to access these energies, they design a special cybersuit that allows Sam to powerlink with Prime. So now Sam would become a combination of Hi-Q and the G1 Matrix.

You know, I brought this up mostly because some one mentioned how the first movie had Sam save everybody and that got me thinking. If it was Sam who saved everybody then it's possible that the studio is treating him like the main protagonist for these movies. And if he's the main protagonist, that means Sam is the guy who will save the world every time. And if that's the way these movies will be then I'd rather Sam saved the world by forming a symbiotic relationship with Optimus Prime by becoming his powermaster, rather than have Sam save the world completely on his own thru a random twist of fate.

Of course, I'm probably reading too much into it and the Autobots may play a bigger role from now on.

Causing prime's death to begin with and recklessy leading the autobots into a trap involving a deadly plague which then spread to every single being on earth and threatened to soon not only infect every living thing in the universe but destroy them as well "is". which of course the remaining autobots had to revive prime to fix.

I didn't know Rodimus Prime was suddenly Megatron, since apparently he killed Optimus.

As for Return of Optimus Prime, it's pratically fan fiction to me.
But I digress. Name one autobot who WOULDN'T go and retrieve Prime's body.

you misunderstood me, i said "recklessly" meaning rodimus gave no forethought before rushing eagerly to find prime....

He's basically the reason Prime died. He jumped into Prime's battle with Megatron in Transformers: The Movie, allowing Megatron to take him hostage and blast away at Optimus.

This misdeed of Rodimus is the basis for Transformers fans' hatred of his character, and is one of the sole uniting factors among members of the fandom. If there's one thing Transformers fans can stand behind, after all, it is hatred.

It all depends on how the story is played out with HEAD master "like" persons in the movie. I think for tf2 is no good but COULD be a possibilty of being cool in the future movie(s) but like i said, it all depends on how good its written and of course, the LOOK.

I hope this does happen, I've been looking for a new reason to go on a rampant killing spree, and that would shove me right over the edge.
