According to Roberto Orci, one-third of the screenwriting team for "Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen," the film will feature something quite interesting to help fill out the ten robots per faction quota. Check out the full article to read about the potentially spoilerish issue.

Please no, DO NOT MAKE A MOVIE Walther P38 (not that I think it would happen at all, no way to release a toy in the US), that will undoubtedly be repainted 19 times, forcing me to buy them to keep my collection as faithful as possible. PLEASE NO. I like my old school transforming gun(s).

I smell Target Masters like robots. There wouldn't be any size changing issues cause if they made the bot modes the size of a human. it could easily transform into a weapon big enough for a transformer. Think Soundwaves shoulder cannon transforming into Laserbeak or Ravage. Then again, I would love to see a space cannon/gun mode for Shockwave or Megatron/Galvatron................we'll see.

On a different track than Transformer-size weapons, what about human-size weapons that become robots roughly Frenzy's size or slightly smaller? From an inside-the-fiction standpoint, they'd be able to access areas too small for full-size TFs; from a plot standpoint, they provide a "ground-level" threat to the human characters, so to speak.
Not that the Targetmaster angle wouldn't be

too :3

Megatron worked just fine without shrinking into a gun in TF1.
I'm hoping that this is something along the lines of "Robot mode to vehicle mode to rolling artillery mode," much like how they portrayed Shockwave in the video game.

I really hope this means Movie video game Shockwave will make it into the movie. I loved his helicopter/cannon modes and it's a shame that we got a bunch of drones instead of him as a figure.

While it may not be like G1, I don't see why they couldn't have weapon Transformers in the movie. Imagine if something like Scorponok an alt-mode that was a large machine gun emplacement? Or it could be guns the work as spies, much like Frenzy.

on the subject of Real gear style guns for humans while it would be cool to say have the all spark shock wave hit the assault rifles of the troops but from the stand point of selling toys I can see that never happening at least not with out totally being inaccurate given the toy gun laws.
as for G1 style megs common it would be more then just a little silly given how epic he was first time round it would be like trying to view Mini Me from the Austin Powers films as the main bad guy in a James bond film
but having say Scorpinok style transformers that are formed from their guns is full of win and screams sound wave

Easy enough to fix, just give the soldiers a bunch of SCIENCE! weapons; think Classics Voyager Megs, but a rifle. They could be a division of the army specially trained and outfitted to kick giant robot @$$ or something.
We're dealing with a franchise where robots turn into cars and Shia LeBouf saved the world; realism is not a factor

well, maybe they'll be somewhat of a fill-in for soundwave's cassettes (he has been confirmed in TF2, right?) since noone in this generation knows what a cassette is.

What's a cassette?
