Skoponok's Skopions
I'm guessing that it'll be at least 50 million more that the first movie. What do you guys think?

More than that probably. The first movie got such a great response that with only 50 million more than the first film, they would only be able to do a little better as far as the robots are concerned, considering we're having about twenty robots on screen.

So how much do you think then? 100 million?

Reports are it's budgeted at $200 million. So, $50 million more than the last.

I was right, just just to be on the safe side. We'll just continue until it's confirmed

Did you guys notice the date on that report. Saturday, June 10, 2006. Clearly this is from the first movie and not the sequel.

I didn't realize the blog was that old...I just googled looking for the TF2 budget and found that page. Didn't read the whole thing. I sarcasticpelicanlb2.gif

I say $175Mil... because at this point they feel they have a successful system and they're not gonna spend much more to tweak with it...

...if they're anything like car manufacturers

Bay was given a budget of 150 million for the last movie, and explained that this was the reason why the Transformers were featured so little in it. He also explained that he couldn't get anymore because it was an experiment, creating an entire movie based on a toy franchise. If the film were to be proven a success, he would be sure to receive a larger budget for the coming film, in order to show the Transformers throughtout the story. Compare to one of the other CGI action flicks of that year, Spider-man III, that one received a budget of 300 million. I would therefore say 200 to 250 million is quite a proper estimation.
