That's LIGHTNING FAST!!

Not all that great an episode, in my opinion. Not bad, but it's basically Home Alone with Sari and the Constructicons.

I did like, however, the Autobot Fastball Special.

G.A.S.H.
And it's up thumbsup1.gif

an alright episode kinda shows whats happening next time The 2 part conclusion!

I was surprised they got these out so fast too thought It'll take weeks
G.A.S.H.
Welcome to daily British airing of stuff... or quicker second half viewing (happened with Stargate etc too) smiletf.gif
Autobot Sari
My biggest beef with the ep was that in the end, the Autobots failed in their mission. More accurately, they just kinda...forgot what they had set out to do in the first place. I mean, then Constructicons were still out there, and the Decepticons got to them. Woops, guys.

They really need to stop looking at their watches and going, "Woop, 22 minutes are up, time to let the badguys go and go home!" tounge1.gif

Ah well. Still was fun, and as a Sari fan, I had a good time with it. smiletf.gif
Darth Caine
..............................Okay, so how come Bumblebee keep leaking oil for no reason, and other Bots just seems to be careless about that?

This episode is a major let down.
Autobot Sari
Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the oil leak thing. That was pointless. And, man, was Bulkhead worked up about it,too. Yeesh.

I'm kinda seeing a pattern: Constructicon eps=not very good. :/
Socaddict
was that sparkplug in "mixmaster" by any chance?

more G1 awesomeness.
Ultra Bumblemus
I liked the eposode but it was a little slow

For me, it's kinda like... "Former G1 Combiner" eps = not very good. I mean, includes the one with Swindle for example.

Still, till this moment, the whole oil leaking thing really bugging me. Okay, it might be a filler episode, but at least, beat some common sense into it, please.
Father Time
I'm actually kinda surprised with how Bumblebee leaks oil, as if it were blood, and how the Constructicons were drinking oil.

But, yes, I wasn't terribly impressed with this episode.
Starscream the great
Also theres the error in continuity after that huge spill of oil from bumblebee thats the last we hear of it
Goktimus Prime
Hey, you're right! biggrintf.gif

The oil leak thing was obviously a plot device to lure the Constructicons to the Autobots' base. It kinda started out okay - Bumblebee had a relatively small leak due to maintenance neglect, but before Ratchet could do anything they had to scramble. Then the leak got progressively worse. But yeah, after Blitzwing came along the leak somehow magically disappeared!

It was a pretty "meh" episode for me. It was good in terms of allowing Megatron to gain the Constructicons - which I'm sure will prove to be pivotal for later episodes. But the story within this episode was rather ordinary... pretty much like Home Alone. (-_-)

I liked some of the subtle adult humour, such as Mixmaster telling Scrapper to grow a back-hoe and his "WTF?!" ("What The Front-end-loader?!"). icon_wink.gif

Blitzwing also said something in what sounded like German to me before he disengaged with the Autobots and flew off. Does anyone know what he said?
Father Time
You heard Ratchet being thrown on the floor saying 'ge-hurr', while Blitzwing said 'Next time."

Yes it was. His was voiced by David Kaye and his name was in the credits.

This ep Kinda sucked. Bumblebee's leak situation was handled so awkwardly. They did nothing and didn't even care. WTF? Blitzwing is unstable but he normally follow through with his commands. So that was weird too.
l2c
I think the thing that bugged me the most, was the Autobots huddling while Blitzwing was just standing there taunting them.... You'd think he'd just, I dunno, beat the crap outta them instead of taking a time out for huddles :<
Goktimus Prime
agree.gif YES!! That was extraordinarily lame!!!

Dr. Evil: "All right guard, begin the unnecessarily slow-moving dipping mechanism."
[guard starts dipping mechanism]
Dr. Evil: "Close the tank!"
Scott Evil: "Wait, aren't you even going to watch them? They could get away!"
Dr. Evil: "No no no, I'm going to leave them alone and not actually witness them dying, I'm just gonna assume it all went to plan. What?"
Scott Evil: "I have a gun, in my room, you give me five seconds, I'll get it, I'll come back down here, BOOM, I'll blow their brains out!"
Dr. Evil: "Scott, you just don't get it, do ya? You don't."

Iprefered this ep over Black Friday actually.

I guess Iwas able to take the humour better than in the latta. Seriously Grimlock's head rising up every time BA moves towards him <<< Mixmaster and Scrapper.

You just said that you think that Grimlock's head rising up every time he gets hot for Blackarachnia is better than Mixmaster and Scrapper.

agree.gif I liked this one a lot better. Much more fun. Sari's take on Home Alone's Kevin was a lot easier to take than Grimlock's tripping over Black Arachnia as if she's Jessica Rabbit or something.

It wasn't without it's problems though, many of which were already mentioned. Could of been near perfect if the writers had at least resolved Bumblebees oil leak situation. After the scene where the Bumper sticker falls off, and his arm leaks profusely it's magically healed throughout the remainder of the episode. This whole episode I couldn't help but hear Prime say, "Bumblebee stop lubricating everywhere." optimuslaugh2.gif Wish he had.
Pun-3X
I'm just not going to be a fan of watching Sari 'hold her own.' This one dragged for me. And yeah, Bumblebee having the leak was used just enough to lure the Constructicons to their base, and then it just went away. I would have added a spot where Bumblebee starting locking up in the middle of the Blitzwing fight from lack of oil. Then they could carry him home when it was all done, moaning and complaining, and we'd have a funny consequence to the whole thing.

I kinda liked it just wondered why the heck was standing there while the autobots huddled for a attack plan

Optimus: Ok men we need a ZONE DEFENSE to beat this guy

and more for all
Nomolos
are they going to explain how Sari's hair grew back so fast after she pointed out that it doesn't grow back overnight? I mean this is like months of hair growth. I asked this in another ep thread also but its a pretty good plothole.
Goktimus Prime
Perhaps a month has passed since it was last sliced? Or she could've gotten hair extensions.

It's called lampshading.
Nomolos
her hair couldnt grow back in a month. it would take several months for hair to grow that long. during which time the space bridge would be built by megatron.
Goktimus Prime
Hair extensions it is then.
Nomolos

or a plothole or its partly due to her not being entirely human.
Goktimus Prime
..um... yeah okay. Until the show actually states otherwise, I'm assuming that she's human. And getting hair extensions is definitely within the realms of possibility.

have you watched the trailer for a bridge too close yet?
Goktimus Prime
No, I avoid spoilers. I'll watch it when it comes out thanks. smiletf.gif
Aquarion
And people accused me of overanalyzing the different eye colorations.
Nomolos
um, you did overanylize the eyecolor thing. I thought that maybe I missed the explanaition for Sari's hair reappearing overnight. that's hardly a comparable situation.
Aquarion
QUOTE (Nomolos @ Jun 17 2008, 11:48 AM) *
that's hardly a comparable situation.

So how do you decide which inconsistances to ignore and which ones to analyze? Because they're pretty much all the same to me.
Nomolos
eyecolor differences are not inconsistencies they are creative choices based on the character. her hair getting chopped off in one ep and being fully grown back the next is inconsistent.

I could be wrong let's ask the mormons what they think.
Father Time
1: Sari's hair being cut off and 'growing back' the next episode (OK, two episodes later, since she wasn't featured in the one with Prowl) doesn't need explanation. It's called a "lampshade hanging".

2: Shut up, Hornet.
Aquarion

They're inconsistant because prior to Swindle, the rules were very clear: All Autobots have blue eyes and all Decepticons have red eyes, even those who were former Autobots(Black Arachnia) or neutral mercanaries(Lockdown). Now Swindle shows up and establishes that neutral TF's have purple eyes. The problem is, Swindle isn't anymore of a neutral mercanary than Lockdown so now we need to come up with a reason for why Lockdown is considered more loyal to the Decepticon cause than Swindle is. How is this anymore lame than coming up with reasons for why the animators were too lazy to change a character's animation model?
Darth Caine
Maybe Swindle just trade some small-arms weaponries to some distant alien race for some catchy nice-looking purple contact lens.

this sounds quite likely, Swindle wants the best of everything so got some purple optics instead to match the rest of his colour scheme.

besides the constructicons have yellow at the moment and red in the next ep, when it airs. (at least they haven't held the series back. Whomever it was who hold Avatar back till July needs shooting. 6 months for a second half of a seasonis a joke.

Here's what I don't get. The oil was leaking out of Bumblebee's arm kinda like blood. But the Constructicons were tasting Bumblebee's oil off the ground, which was pretty gross to me. But every bot seems to drink oil. So my question is, is everyone drinking their own blood? That's the impression I got and that is incredible creepy.

No, I'm pretty sure they're drinking fresh oil from barrels to replenish the oil that their bodies use up.
