Since Hasbro has already made two Springer toys, one for his ground mode and one for his air, I'm thinking it's pretty doubtful that they're going to release him as a triple-changer. So what I'm asking for help finding is a toy that's out now that has either a ground-based altmode that can be manipulated into something that could conceivably fly, or an aerial altmode that I could bash some wheels onto and call it a ground vehicle.

I'm asking you folks to help because I haven't really got the cash at the moment to buy a whole bunch of figures and experiment with them, so any nudges in the right direction would be greatly appreciated smiletf.gif

(and yes, I'm willing to use SWTFs; they've got to be good for SOMETHING tounge1.gif)

G1 Springer is a cybertronian car and a cybertronian helicopter ... so take whatever helicopter you like, turn it upside down, stick some wheels on it, e voila ... a cybertronian vehicle is born rofflebot[1].gif

Yeah no, seriously, I don't think much of those cybertronian alt-modes icon_wink.gif
... and I sadly have no real advice on which mold would fit ... sorry for the useless comment.

Heh, no problem tounge1.gif Yeah, some of the Cybertronian altmodes are pretty lazy, just look at Broadside (who I'm also planning to make someday, but that's another thread tounge1.gif)

So far, Energon Bulkhead is looking to be my best option. A better paint job, bash some wheels onto the "walker," and I might have a decent Springer. Still welcoming any ideas, though smiletf.gif

What about the Cybertron Blurr figure?

He's almost a triple changer already, it's really just if you consider the flying car mode to be different enough from the regular car. I saw a repaint on livedoor that highlighted the VTOL fans in a different colour, that really made a huge improvement. There may even be a way to mistransform the front of the car into something a little more "out there" to differentiate it from the race car and make it look a little more sci-fi.

Actually, I had another idea the other day: The Cybertron Downshift figure. If I put a propeller on the Cyber Key, maybe use magnets so it can attach to his arm like Movie Blackout, and fold out his doors while his guns are in place, that could look like a helicopter mode, right? Granted, it'd be more like Tracks' flight mode than real triple-changing, but it could work.

Take a look at SWTF: Emeror.
Find a way to attach Rotors to the top? (what did G1 Springer do with his rotors when in car mode?)

Continue from there....

or even Protoform Movie-Prime...

That was actually my first idea when I first thought of this project months ago tounge1.gif

I might still pursue that....
