So... It seems to me that while they've had far fewer speaking lines than Captain Fanzone, they've appeared in almost as many episodes.

And with Spike and Carly being mentioned by name and Spike even having his G1 voice actor, well...

It seems like they've practically moved from being an easter egg to being a subplot.

Daniel was at Sari's birthday. Carly's pregnant. Spike keeps crossing paths with the Autobots.

Would it be so bad if they just went ahead and joined the cast?

At first, it just felt like a nod and a wink when we saw them. Now, I'm starting to think of them as characters in the show because it seems like there are always new developments with them whenever they show up.

I was half-joking, half-fanficing in another thread when I suggested that Spike is a Sumdac employee but since Daniel was at Sari's birthday party (and the kids there were all Sumdac employees' children), let's just have Spike take over Sumdac and adopt Sari or something.

Speaking personally, I was more than satisfied with the Witwicky easter eggs but if half the episodes are going to feature cameos them and you're going to give them subplots and speaking lines then I really want them in the cast. (Then again, I REALLY want Jazz in the cast too, as he's become my favorite Autobot in this series. Damn you, Isenberg for teasing us with the cool stuff!)

I hope they name the baby they just had "Chip".

Not because I hate Wheelie, but because I think the Animated crew is up to the task of maybe making him cool...maybe.

I heard they announced plans for Rodimus next season but I haven't found a reference anywhere...

But with Arcee and Magnus having already appeared and G1 Blurr announced... And Wreckgar around...

Side note: Did they actually announce that Rodimus was big in Season 3?

Buster (Spike's younger brother in G1)
Sam (from the live action moofie - can also be a girl's name)
William (Sparkplug's real name - since the name Sparkplug is already taken for Sari's dog)

Dude, Wheelie wouldn't be cool if he walked, talked, and looked like G1 Soundwave.

That's cause the only cool part about Soundwave WAS the way he talked.

And it sounds like someone never read Wheelie, Wild Boy of Quintessa.

Big, no. Mentioned has a possibility, yes. He could easily become big if he's used in Season 3. But nothing official was announced. They said something along the lines of introducing another character who is the same rank as Optimus. But like I said, not set in stone. *thinks it would be cool*

... and his tapes. And his robot mode design. And the fact he was one of the few G1s to be toy-accurate. And the fact his alt-mode was AWESOME.

... and a lamppost.

And his head is the frickin' Decepticon symbol.

Soundwave was a pretty awesome character in the comics - especially when he led the Cybertronian resistance against the Quintessons.

That book portrays Wheelie as he was described in his original tech specs - as a survivalist... more like Tarzan or Mowgli (The Jungle Book) in terms of being a noble savage. The cartoon totally wrecked it by portraying him as... ya know... the comics were a bit better but still not quote as cool as that book.

Shame the colours were completely toy-inaccurate. But it'd be neat to have a limited variant of Wheelie in those colours. But understandably e-Hobby repainted Wheelie as Dion to compliment the repaint of Targetmaster Kup as Orion Pax - and the Wheelie mould does suit Dion (as much as Kup suits Orion Pax anyhow).

But I reckon it'd be really neat if HasTak were to repaint Wheelie in the Wild Boy colours as a limited exclusive - or if they ever did a Classics Wheelie, if there were a shortpacked Wild Boy variant. Oooh!

Why were Spike and Carli surprised to see that Ratchet had no driver in ambulance mode? At this point, don't they know that Transformers have been around in their city for a while? I thought that was stupid.

The mind is not always rational with a baby on the way.

Cos I'm sure that there's a public Autobot education campaign.

Also, it's their first time inside a Transformer. Knowing something in theory is one thing, but it's different when you see or experience it first hand for the first time.

He was in ambulance mode.

Even if there are five vehicles in the entire city that were robots, running into one when you actually need their alt-mode would be surprising.

Their vehicle modes were also scanned in from local vehicles - e.g.: Bumblebee's car mode scanned from Capt Fanzone's car - so Ratchet's ambulance mode probably looks like a regular ambulance for these people.
