Seeing as how the episode's already aired in Canada and it's... err... "available" elsewhere, I thought I'd make a thread for it. Bigass spoilers if you haven't seen the episode, of course.
All in all, it was yet another amazing episode. Season 2's shaping up extremely well so far, without a single dud yet. Starscream's back, yet again, and with another component of his G1/BW self integrated into his animated incarnation (which led to an absolutely hilarious sequence about midway through the episode.) The Autobot/Decepticon conflict also seems to be heating up beyond Earth and Cybertron (with certain uncomfortable paralells to current real-world events) and we finally get to see the Animated incarnation of Ironhide make a brief appearance.
I'm still a bit hesitant to call Animated the best Transformers series so far, but if it keeps up this level of quality it'll knock Beast Wars from the top spot easily.

episode. They managed to bring Starscream back AND make him immortal without the "immortal spark"/ghost crap.
My only worry is that the show will turn into "The Hunt For the AllSpark Crystals," it seemed like they were specifically angeling toward that at the end.

Just finished viewing the torrent. Another great episode! So Starscream is a zombie this time around instead of a ghost. Note that the Botcon panel already confirmed he's indeed dead. Very cool!

I think they alluded to that, actually, in both
Return of the Headmaster and
Along Came A Spider. It seems like Sentinel guilted Optimus into taking responsibility for Elita-1's "death." So Optimus got demoted, and Sentinel, looking better by comparison, got promoted. Seeing as he was scared sh!tless by 'Screamer, though, it's clear he's out of his element.

I agree that Sentinal is absolutly the most annoying TF ever. It was nice to see Prime to be vindicated and show that he was telling the truth. Sentinal does make for an interesting character though. I mean an Autobot that you enjoy to hate. I just think it was a cool idea.
Ummm...I also do see a "Hunt for Allspark crystals" thing coming down the pipe. I think I have some faith that they will be able to do so and keep the show from turning into "Hunt for minicons" crap.

Wow...this was totally a brilliant episode. The drama with Sari wondering what she'd do if the bots left, and the anger rising in Optimus over Sentinel's d*ckiness level, wow.
Of course, the Starscream "death" montage was GREAT

It's nice to see things happening on so many levels now...Stuff on earth, stuff on Cybertron, and stuff with 'Cons around the corners of the galaxy. Depth =

I wondered briefly if there was subtext from the writers by way of the title "Mission Accomplished" and Sentinel's line near the beginning of the episode "You're all vital components in the War against the Decepticons." But I'm probably reading too much into things

I totally loved this episode. Starscream shot Magnus in the fucking face. Jeebus.
The Starscream death montage was awesomely roffley. It's like they were homaging every single stupid coup G1 Starscream ever attempted.

Oh and to Blitz-Wing: You're right about the Decepticons being stronger. As they've mentioned on the show, the only things that kept the Autobots from losing were the Allspark and their space bridges. You begin to see why.
Not that Ultra Magnus' post hasn't been ceremonial for a long time anyway.
But I totally geek-wood'd when Magnus was down and Prime assumed command. It's so much cooler for Prime to be all Prime-y when you've seen him grow into the role.
Oh and there was a lot more anticipatory geek wood when Megatron sent his signal out into the stars. I was like I WANT TO SEE WHO'S HEARING THIS and I was totally imagining Animated Galvatron somewhere listening to it with his awesome Animated TF:TM-ish buddies.

I think the idea is that the All-Spark leveled the playing field.
Basically... The Autobots are like the Smurfs and the Decepticons are like the aliens from, well Aliens. Except, with the Allspark, the Smurfs had a tactical nuke that kept the enemy at bay.
Now that their nuke is gone, well, Magnus vs. Starscream is like Papa Smurf versus the Alien Queen.
Or maybe a better analogy is that the Autobots are the nerds and geeks and the Decepticons are the jocks and bullies. And the Allspark was the only thing saving the geeks from a serious cyber-wedgie.
Ultra Magnus probably uses that hammer for LARPing and keeps a D20 in his spark chamber for "strategy sessions" with the Elite Guard in Primus' basement. While, ah, Megatron is a serial killer with a bazooka.
So it's like the guys from "The Big Bang Theory" versus Keyser Soze with a bazooka. Strictly in their element, they appear to be somewhat in control, if quirky. But put them up against the Decepticons and it's non-stop electroswirlies, headlight twisters and their mechano-boxers being run up the flagpole at Autobot academy... and, y'know, some senseless murder too.

Look at it from the flipside.
Screamer's fans KNOW he's annoying. The writers know he's annoying. But he's likable because he's so persistent. I think that's what me and other Screamer fans like about him. He doesn't give up. Not in the face of death. Not in the face of his leader. Not after he's lost. Not after he's dead. TOTAL ambition.
By the way... an idea:
He has the Allspark fragment inside him. So maybe he can create life. It would be nifty if he made the Combaticons or Thundercracker and Skywarp by "cloning" himself. He seems like he needs backup, he needs supporters. And the only way he'd get that is to create them from scratch.
We never really got where the other jets came from or why they were so much like Starscream or why SS was one of the very few who could create new sparks. This could account for that.
Oh! And with his nifty little homing ability for the fragments, there's actually a reason to call him (and maybe his clones) "the Seekers", in-continuity.
