Full Version: An Idea for the future..........

Hi,

First off I would like to say Greetings to all of the TFans. wave.gif I have been a long time watcher, and have finally decided to join the collective.

Now, this is an idea that I had the other day, after watching the Elite Gaurd, and reading a lot of peoples thoughts on the story and characters.

I note that a lot of people dislike Sentinal Prime, being an arrogant suck up, and only out for himself. I note that the Sentinal in one of the comics was a traitor to the autobots, taking backhand payments from Megatron.

Sorry about the rant, but here is my idea..........

A lot of people see Ultra Magnus being knocked out of the Supreme Commander role by Megatron, I see a possability being closer to home. eektf.gif
If Ultra Magnus lost his Supreme status, or was killed by an Autobot within the Elite Gaurd, yes Sentinal Prime, the staus of Cybertron power would be thrown off.
I see this as good, because Sentinal could help the Decepticons for his own means, taking out Magnus, and forcing another into the role of Supreme Commander.
In my idea, Sentinal wishes the role, but when it is handed to Optimus he wouldn't be to happy.

I then see Sentinal joining the Decepticons, and becoming Nemesis Prime, taking on the new name Nemesis, but keeping the rank suffix.

This could lead to a civil war upon Cybertron, and the possibility for unlimited Transformers arriving from the home planet, not just those limited to earth and the dispearsed Cube.

Anybody else think this would be a good idea?
Father Time
Eh...No. Sentinel is a jerk, but he's not evil. He believes in the Autobot cause, but he simply believes he is the best person to understand it and to convey its message to others. He has no love for the Decepticons either, so I can't see him working for them at all.
And, no Nemesis Primes anymore, please.

But, in any case, welcome to TFans TFormers.

The idea has already been suggested by someone else before.

Also, it's Sentinel Prime, not Sentinal. (-_-)

In G1 Sentinel Prime was the preceding Autobot commander (and guardian of the Matrix) before Optimus Prime - although unlike Optimus Prime he didn't hold supreme executive power (he answered to the Autobot Council of Elders).

Nahhhh, I'm seeing a little AC Slater/Zack Morris relationship between the two. They'll be bitterest of enemies for a while before becoming BFF.
Octavian Prime
I always like characters who deviate from the cliché good guy / bad guy (G1 Catilla, Armada Starscream, RID Magnus etc). Sentinel Prime is one of those characters, essentially a good guy but at the same time an obnoxious arrogant spiteful jerk - I think his character has the potential to have as big a journey as Primes.

Just as a matter of interest where is this referenced? I can’t recall this being in the G1 comics.

...I've seen nothing in Sentinel that shows that he's a good guy. I'm hoping that writers will develop this character so that he either becomes a real good guy, or becomes a true villain. Either way works for me - this character has a lot of potential and I hope that writers will exploit it like a Thai hooker. icon_wink.gif

Does that mean that TFA Prime's gonna become a p0rn star? ;p

It's in "And There Shall Come... A Leader" by Simon Furman in the 1985 annual.
