So, after we're all shocked, awed and fascinated by Herr Blitzving's toy, who do you guys think might be the next big thing? Omega Supreme? Skywarp? Sentinel? Ultra Magnus? Swoop?

I personally can't wait until I see Swoop, he's my favorite Dinobot in this show. Even if his transformation is simplistic. Hey, isn't Voyager Starscreams?

I want to see Ultra Magnus's toy. I don't like his robot mode all that much in the show (needs more red) but his vehicle mode kicks all sorts of ass.

I'm worried about how Swoop's transformation in the show will translate to a toy... his transformation seems to be wings fold back, legs appear, head appears, and body suddenly gets skinnier for no reason.

I don't think Swoop is going to be the next hype. His transformation is too simple to be talked about so much.

I also don't think Swoop is going to be bad. Thusfar the line art we got is extremely faithful to the toys. Also, given the tracks on Blitzwing's jet and the things hovering over Bulkhead's shoulder I think it's pretty clear that the toys are made first and then the cartoon figures are drawn using those as examples.


My guess is the next hype will be either Omega Supreme or the Constructicons. I'm really hoping the Constucticons can be put together to form one big bot, which is why I think it's going to get a hype.


Here is my theory on the Constructicons:

Mixmaster's mixer comes off. His back of the vehicle forms the feet and the cab forms the lower torso (basically a reverse G1 Motormaster). Scavenger's put to form the upper torso with the digger forming one arm (makes for a pretty close G1 proximity like this). The mixer opens up and reveal the other arm. The shell of the mixer either forms shoulderpads or a tall shield on the arm that it held inside. The head is either Scavenger's normal head (since the size difference of the combination and the single bots isn't that much) or something comes out of the mixer (along with the other arm).

As a big Ultra Magnus fan, and after seeing his Thor staff in the show... I mean

I really want an Ultra Magnus toy NOW. The Jazz toy is also really cool.

I actually like the lack of red on him. The blue and white makes him feel more "military" or something. I don't know what the word is, really, but I dig it.

I forgot about the constructicons. I hope their toys can combine too.

Me, I'm just looking forward to Omega Supreme. We haven't seen anything from him so far, and, well, he's the final line of defense for the Autobots, and it perhaps may even turn out to be that he's their home.

And it's pretty much clear from episode 1 on that the ship is Omega Supreme. His color scheme matches G1 and the added single barrel turret (complete with the all-to-familiar transforming sound when it came out) all but confirms it completely.

I'm thinking they're going to wait for his revelation until all the way at the end of season 2. I'd hate to see him suffer from Dark Fleet syndrome (where an enormously powerful Transformer is added that singlehandedly tips the scale in favor of one group, only to be scaled down in powerlevel considerably later on so that he can actually be defeated).
