Full Version: What could possibly turns you down?

Darth Caine
You know, it's not that I expected TFAnimated go downward spiral. In fact, I love this show more than G1, and Beast Wars. But let's just play our speculations here about what could possibly turns you down and thus, discourage you guys to stop watching TFAnimated.

My worst nightmare is if... TFs ended up being technorganic. That's why I hated Beast Machines with deep passion till these days.

Regards,
Caine.

If they suddenly replaced everything with A/E/C footage. That's about the only thing I can think of.

Or the Autobots get in league with Carbombya and start suicide bombing downtown Detroit, maybe.
Octavian Prime
A Dallas style plot twist of Cybertron Prime waking up to find Animated had been nothing but a dream – and then they all get back to fighting Unicron / Stascream or whatever the hell it was they did in Cybertron.

Or;

If the script writing was outsourced out to the Japanese.

And BA is technorganic, and she seems to be doing well as a character.

Father Time
...

Pointless thread, really. A lot of things could "turn me down" from this shows. If the writing turns repetitive or uninspired, or some such thing. Right now, it engages me, just as Smallville did. As soon as it fails to do so, I'll loose interest in it. It's that simple. So, listing all the different possibilities seems to me utterly pointless, as is the entire concept of focusing on what could possibly maybe go wrong.

One is an okay, but hinting that whole TF race's gonna end up as technorganic? Big meh for me.

I agree with his agreement.
Stormtrooper53
Never gonna happen.

But that doesn't mean they won't come up with some retarded-ass Animated manga.

+ One more voice of mutual agreement here.

At the moment only the upcoming B-rank villain episode. Those 'enemies' are just about the only thing I don't like about Animated. Good thing they are only in a few episodes. So I'm not looking forward to seeing more than one in a single episode.

But this won't make me stop from watching the series though.

yeah, no more lame-arse villains please. And that's not to say that human-villains are a no-no, but lame human-villains are definitely a no-no.

Examples of better formidable human foes for the Transformers include:

+ The Robot Master: as inherently lame as Donny Finkleberg himself actually is, the idea of the Decepticons using a human and news media to publicly broadcast propaganda to make the human populace fear all Transformers (and thus turning them against the Autobots) was a good one. Even basically good people like G.B. Blackrock, Spiderman and G.I. Joe (who killed Bumblebee!) were initially afraid of the Autobots (of course most humans weren't even aware of the difference between Autobots and Decepticons). The G1 cartoon did this briefly with Berger.

+ Government agencies/military: e.g.: I.I.I., R.A.A.T. and Sector-7. Of course, this isn't going to happen in Animated since the Autobots already forged an alliance with humans (who generally see the Autobots as heroes) - although the moment in Megatron Rising 2 where Prime saw humans cowering and fleeing from him after their battle with the Decepticons in the city was really cool.

+ Decent super-human villains. Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing an Animated Circuit Breaker? Not only is she strong enough to challenge Unicron (albeit at the cost of her sanity), she's also hawt to boot! icon_wink.gif

Circuit Breaker and Robot Master would be welcome additions as far as I'm concerned. Although I hated them at the time The Roadjammers and The Mechanic would probably work as well. Not gonna happen though, the writers seem to take all their references from the G1 show, I've only spotted one comic reference which might just be a coincidence.

The main thing I would have liked TFAnimated to take from the comics was the Dinobots Characters, but I guess kids can identify with a big lump of metal muscle that says "Me Swoop" more so than an edgy rebel with a chip on his shoulder and more baggage than Heathrow Airport.

idk the only thing that could make me stop watching this show at this point is if they bring in unicron
i think they've overused him already redface2tf.gif

Something occured to me just now that could potentially break the cartoon but could be very cool if properly done. With Prime being a title there is nothing that prevents them from putting in Rodimus Prime. They lost the rights for using the name Hot Rod anyway.

It could be someone who's in charge on Cybertron now that the Elite Guard is on Earth. They actually put in a rather big nod to Rodimus already. Just check out the top of Ratchet's Cybertron mode. It's pretty much identical to G1 Rodimus Prime.

now that u mention it, it does look like it rodimusgrinstatic.gif

Rodimus Prime would be okay if the character was done right. I didn't mind Super Link Rodimus Convoy who's like TFA Ultra Magnus but w/o the godlike powers. I don't know how well (or not) this character was translated in Energon though (I've not heard kind things about the Energon dub).
Agent Zero
Animated Kicker.

Am I the only one who thinks that Super Link/Energon Alexa/Alexis is hot? icon_wink.gif
Stormtrooper53
Yes, but I totally think Erin Esurance is hot, so I forgive you.
