Why is it that both Cybertron mode Megatron toys are mistranformed in each and every picture I can find?

The gunbarrel is supposed to be on the front facing forward, not on top facing backwards. It's like that in the cartoon:

As you can see the back-end of the gun is also facing forward as a cockpit, meaning you have to fold up the gun to make that work.


Both toys show that the barrel can indeed be flipped (and I'm guessing rotated around in case of the deluxe, since the flipping joint is on the top). Heck, the Voyager even has a hexagon-shaped hole in the front of the ship to fit it in nice and snugly: http://886.cn/4RBUQ6ek3

Hmmm... If the Voyager toy can be transformed in a show-accurate way I might actually buy it. I was planning on passing on the Cyb-Megatron toys and just getting the Earth-mode one.

Maybe because of "Meh, it just appears for like less than 10 minutes, why we should gave him so much detail at first place?" kind of stuff on Hasbro.

I think it's less a case of the toy being mistransformed and more a case of the toy being not show accurate.

I don't think either toy can end up looking like the screen shot you posted.

I'm blaming it on the way it's put in the packaging.

I know that a few of us have been able to get their hands on these figures, either through eBay sales or through retail in Cincinnati. Can anyone confirm or deny if Animated Megatron can be transformed in a show-accurate way?
