The series has been cancelled, but, damn, I really liked where it was going. Finale was awesome, IMO.
Brainiac-5 turned into a real boy, both mirroring Pinokkio, from which his character in the series drew heavy inspiration, and looking as his original LoSH counterpart.
The Supermen Fusion-Dance'd into one Ultimate form. I had half-way hoped we would see Superman-Prime(DC One Million), but this version was nice as well.
And, finally, the cliffhanger of the robotic parts of Brainiac rebuilding into Brainiac 1, setting things up for the next season.
Now, I'm hoping the story will be continued in the comic-adaptation.

I loved the finale... Mind you, I love Brainiac

But yeah, the ending was brill, hope they do continue it somehow...
I loved all the homages to the original Brainiac as well, and the whole Colu bit - I predicted that but I didn't predict what they looked like. Awesome

Also, do you know WHY it was cancelled? Haven't been able to find a reason

Usually, there is no other reason that it not being popular enough.

* Hoping for comic series, game, anything really. I know, I know, I could read the normal LoSH comics, but I like this version better damnit!

Doesn't look that great, and not a continuation of the end storyline

Hey, like the Justice League (Unlimited) and The Batman, most of the modern DC Animated shows have their comic counterparts, in which new stories are explored. This "Legion of Super Heroes in the 31st Century" is your best bet for a place to see this story continued.
And, let's face it, LoSH-Anim second-season "story-arch" consisted of pretty much the season opener, 1 story to explore how Brainiac-5 opened himself up for Brainiac-1, and the twin-episode "Dark Victory". So expect something similar in the comic-books.

the second season was awesome, too bad it's over now. Not even any re-runs.
