I've been wondering what kind of music everyone would like to hear soundtracking the new film. Would a traditional instrumental score suit best, or a selection of songs by bands like the original film and indeed most movies of today. If bands then what type of bands do you feel suit the theme?
I'm asking as I feel a good soundtrack can help make or break a film.
The Diesel
Giant transforming robots=heavy metal.

A techno score would fit best i would think.... a score similar to that of Matrix Reloaded........

you know, I was thinking the same thing. I loved the soundtracks from all 3 movies, so that would be cool.

Yeah it just needs to be a little more, i don't know, "faster" or "harder" just to accentuate any action on the screen.
SMITHSQUARED
autobots - hip hop
decepticons - heavymetal

I want one scene with prime and crew rolling down the high way with Ludacris Roll Out

my feelings are hurt.

Ludracis is the best thing to happen to hiphop and music in general

I want it to sound as good as the Crow's soundtrack was.

I'm glad to see people thinking that a techno soundtrack would fit best. I was expecting a unanimous vote of rock/metal. Don't get me wrong I like a bit of metal, but I'm quite sick of seeing it used in modern movies. And as for hip-hop I don't see that happening, it just doesn't fit the theme at all.
(sic)minded
I'll take anything... Especially Linkin Park, Ill Nino, System Of A Down, Slipknot, or NIN.
DRIFTER
Hmmmm.....probably techno would work out best.
