I think I'll be okay thumbsup1.gif

Ok...Megatron Part 1 & 2 are the BEST episodes since the Premiere! The only thing that could have made it even better, is if Soundwave & Lockdown would have shown up! (which we'll probably see in later episodes) I think this just goes to show you that this series works better when you INCLUDE the DECEPTICONS in the storylines, as opposed to human villains, and wierd creatures (that have nothing to do with TRANSFORMERS) fighting the Autobots! Give us more...hell, bring all of Cybertron down to Earth!

There would be population explosion.

No ghost of Starscream FFS

"Episode 23: A Fistfull of Energon
Prowl goes off on his own to capture the fugitive Starscream, but finds some competitions in the form of a Decepticon bounty hunter."

'Screamer survived, or was at least brought back to life via the AllSpark dispersing.

More Lockdown... oh rapturous joy!

So she's a pretender? When Is she getting the rocket pack she had in the promo?

I thought I was the only person who remembered the rocket pack. Where did it go?

Also, did anyone else notice that they played sound effects over the theme song in the intro? I don't like that. The sounds take away from the awesomeness that is the music.

I did notice that. It may be the new theme mix for Season 2.

Rocket packs that randomly appear and disappear? That's not Transformers at all.

And they just had to crash the ship exactly like that didn't they.

I noticed that too... it was almost exactly like G1. Pretty cool. I guess they have no reason to keep the ship hidden now that the All Spark is All Gone.

I think it's rather interesting and funny to see Transformers Animated go into the direction of Inu Yasha, a rather wellknown japanese Anime. In it, a magical chrystal gem is shattered, and its fragments bring forth all sorts of new creatures, like, for example, a sentient trashpile, or a pair of construction vehicles....

Kind of like "meteor freaks" on Smallville

QUOTE (ROSEDOGGYDOG @ Apr 5 2008, 01:50 PM) *
I thought for sure the Dinobots were going to join the fight, since they crashed on Dinobot Island. I wanted to see some sword clanking between Megs and Grimlock.

I totally thought they would come to the rescue. It just seems like whenever they "showcase" something like that it's a precursor to them coming back later.

QUOTE (Caine @ Apr 5 2008, 03:11 PM) *
It sounds almost like you're implying that all Autobots incapable of flight and Decepticons capable of such feat. For small hint, look at Soundwave & Lockdown. Did they fly?

Neither of them were "real" Decepticons... Wasn't Lockdown more freelance... and Soundwave wasn't a true Cybertronian Decepticon.

QUOTE (Gouka @ Apr 5 2008, 03:45 PM) *
The fact she was half organic was clarified in her debut episode, thus the reason Sari's key reacted the way it did when Blackarachnia used it.

I'm expecting the Autobots to restore her to her previous Autobot self at some point in the series.... perhaps after they make enough money on the Black Arachnia toy... so they can make an Elita-1 figure to make more on.

Man the autobots are total wusses. They need to upgrade quickly because so far they are depicting that each of the decepticons can kick autobot ass by theirself. its so lopsided it going to start getting silly if the autobots continue to keep winning.

I dont know, Bulkhead took Lugnut out. I like that the Cons are a serious threat. Instead of anime comic relief.

Actually, I really like the fact that the Autobots are learning to cope with them.

But don't worry, next episode they'll get some backup.

And there on top of that there is still 'Code Omega'. Everytime I see the ship I tend to look for how it's going to transform. Now that we've seen the back of it more clearly it pretty much a given that the head will fold up like G1 Scourge. Even the gun turret is in the right spot to do a proper Omega Supreme nod. The location of the arms and legs are pretty much a given as well. It's only a question of which side of the ship will be the front of the robot.

All i gotta say is, ... FUC KIN AWSOME 2 PART SHOW! and .... MEGATRON IS FUC KIN HUUUUUGGGGEE!!!!

Like TOWERS over Bulkhead and ALL his Decpeticons. Looked to be 2 x's Primes size. Absolutely PERFECT!
Agent TMan
Yeah, he's real big.

That just annoyed me that we get a Deluxe Cybertron Megs instead of, you know, an affordable Earth Megs.

Honestly, Megs should not have a Deluxe. And a Voyager Earth mode would be amazing.

No, the Leader Earth Meg is in scale with Voyager Earth Prime. If not, both will be on same height, and that would kinda ruin the show-accuracy, since on show, we see, Prime's height as only half of Meg.

Seriously, "Cybertron" Megatron is in the cartoon for like what, ten minutes? Earth mode Megatron FTW

P.S. am I the only person who thinks that the Allspark is just gone now? I'm not envisioning a bazillion Allspark-energy-infused creations coming to life.

Well, they certainly haven't needed Dispersed Allspark Energy so far, have they?

All I'm saying is that the impression I got is that "the matrix is empty", so to speak.

This one is hard to tell. Megs may still have some Allsparky goodness in his chest that he'll used to create some new forces.
DarkNarcoleptic
Yeah...remember the key is the only item that has given life to all the new creations. Which of course, was one of the lessons for Prime in that episode- the Allspark chose Sari to keep the key, and now the key is all that's left, making her role much more important.

From a storytelling standpoint, I would much rather that be the case than "oh look residual Allspark energy" bla bla bla forever. This story arc fundamentally changed the dynamic of the series, and I think it would be more powerful if the Allspark actually is gone forever.

And really, that is the strong impression that I got.

I agree. I hope there's no "Oh, look, residual Allspark energy is turning that Mountain Dew machine over there into a homicidal robot." That would just be retarded.

To say nothing of the questionable "man-love" story involving Bumblebee's and Prowl's trip to do so.

... No, not Ratchet.

Sorry, guys, but....

Episode 20: "Garbage In, Garbage Out" - AllSpark energy turns a junk pile into a sentient robot who tries to help the Autobots, but ends up doing more harm than good.

Episode 22: "Rise of the Constructicons" - Bulkhead befriends a pair of construction vehicles brought to life by AllSpark energy. But the Decepticons have their scanners set on the duo for their latest construction project.

Except that, in addition to being a representation of Animated Megatron, the Earth-mode Megatron toy is also the closest thing we've ever gotten to a show-accurate G1 Megatron, so a scaled-down version would be nice to go with the various G1-ish Primes that have been released.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a smaller Earth-mode Megs coming...I mean, we've only seen the first 3 or 4 waves of figures.
